The snaking queue at this famous dakgalbi restaurant from Korea is testament to its popularity. For the uninitiated, Galbi is basically meat marinated in a ganjang-based sauce that is grilled at the table. The star here is none other than Yoogane's Chicken Galbi - spicy marinated chicken cooked with rice cakes and vegetables. Also go for the Galbi Fried Rice, that gooey mozzarella cheese fried with rice and bulgogi chicken is oh-so-satisfying. Kimchi-lovers rejoice, the salad bar is free-flow!

So tender and moist, it's very unexpected. Topped with addictive garnish of fried garlic and onion, you just can't stop. Order 1 whole chicken to share, we made the mistake of trying to share half...

There's almost nothing better than a hot, sticky bowl of porridge to comfort your belly late at night. Eating at Ah Chiang's gives you the option of ordering side dishes such as fresh sliced raw fish, extra century eggs, raw eggs, and best of all, extra you tiao! Daniel Food Diary says "Comfort food on a cold night is cantonese charcoal cooked Ah Chiang porridge"

This restaurant used to be really famous in the 70s for their biryani, so of course I had to check it out! The mutton biryani was really good, especially compared to the chicken biryani. The texture of the rice is excellent and speaks of the quality of rice used, but could be more flavorful. The mutton was just awesome, a very tasty, tender, generous portion of lamb. Will be back if I'm in the area!
