Beerthai is located at the inner corner of the complex. Boy oh boy, the broth was so intense that I let out a "wah" that shocked my wife (#burppleculture), and it went really well with the soft rice noodles. If you're looking for an intense bowl of noodles with tripe, tendon and chewy beef balls, this is it.

Newly opened on 15 Feb, GoroGoro is holding an opening promo till 28 Feb - Weekday lunch going at $9.90++ & dinner at $24.90++ while weekend lunch is at $14.90++ & dinner at $26.90++. There are 6 soups to choose from - Collagen, Mala, Tom Yum, Ginseng, Vegetarian and Tomato. I wouldn't actually call it a Korean buffet because we saw very little Korean related items like a sweet potato dish, rice cake and the Ginseng soup. The mala was better than the collagen soup. Average meal but thumbs up to the location (Orchard!), price and fresh ingredients, especially the tender chicken and pork! They served a range of cooked items too.

Usual Prices:
Weekday Lunch $14.90++, Dinner $24.90++
Weekend Lunch $24.90++, Dinner $26.90++
*Friday dinners are considered under Weekend Dinner.

So grand, such a luxury, with the chefs displaying their culinary skills right in front of our eyes.

Temari Sushi Set (SGD 28++) - Otoro, Scallop, Salmon, Greater Amberjack, Sea Bream. So colorful, so fresh, I will be back for more.

Location: Ngee Ann City lvl 3
Opening hours: 11.30am - 2pm, 6pm - 10pm (Mon-Sun)

We reached early in the morning but there was already a queue! After about an hour or so wait, we finally entered the cosy restaurant but with great ambience! We were seated beside groups of japanese patrons who were raving about how tasty their tendons were! My vegetable tendon ($12.80) came with a cup of silky chawanmushi, free flow pickled vegetables and miso soup!! So worth it!! The vegetables were fresh, juicy and sweet, perfectly fried into aromatic crispy tempura goodness. Ginza Tendon Itsuki uses Japan imported rice to serve only the highest quality tendons! 😍😍 I never thought I will be addicted to deep-fried tempura dons!

WHAT SORCERY IS THIS? Omg the chicken is fried so well, that it's uber crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. And even after this dancing babies are all cooled, the crisp is still hallelujah crispy. This joint do not toss their sauce with their chicken, which is good for those who likes them up saucy. The secret family concoction and honey mustard has so much win that I can't stop eating even after I am so stuff. Oh, talk about their baked til-so-dry sweet potatoes! Those bad ass are so well cooked that it tasted like French fries literally, only healthy. Damn I can't stop gushing. With all the Koreans coming in for their Korean fix, you know this place is as authentic as it can get, right down to the simplistic setting (of messy arrangement, homely kitchen decor). Missing Korea suddenly.

So new, it's literally empty during lunchtime. Decided to skip queues and try this out with my colleague. It's a Korean noodle house, so you choose your "homemade" noodles (3 thickness levels); pick your broth (anchovies, prawn, clam, beef, spicy) or dry; a la carte (S$13.90) or set that comes with a fried chicken drumstick + corn tea (S$17.90). My spicy beef broth was just spicy, nothing out of this world, but the beef slices, and fried chicken side were really tender and tasty. All in all a decent meal, perhaps I'll try the clear broth next time to see if there's a more original taste to it. Oh btw, the bowl is super large, so it's good news for the big-eaters.

I love that this tiny Thai Boat Noodles eatery, located at B1-08 of Golden Mile Complex, offers you choices for noodles, meats and soups. It's lots of fun to mix and match them to discover how each combination tastes. Based on my experience eating three completely different permutations, I can conclude they are all lip-smackingly delicious in spite of their mini size! 😋
To order, your first step is to select from silky-soft kway teow, beehoon or glass noodles (the kind used to fry "pad thai"). Next you take your pick of meats from fresh beef, braised beef (this is superb), beef liver, meatball, fresh pork, pork liver and pork ball. You can have a mix of up to three as long as they're from the same meat family. Last comes the soup of which they have three types: a Special Soup (made from beef and pork), Tom Yam and a clear one. If preferred, you can always opt to have your noodles "dry" instead. The waitress then checks if you want your noodles spicy or not. I recommend that you go for the former if you can handle chilli because theirs is really fragrant and potent.
In the corner of the shop sits a neat arrangement of raw beansprouts and a type of green Thai vegetable that you can help yourself to. What a cool way to add a refreshing crunch to the noodles.
Apart from the mini bowls, the noodles also come in bigger/normal portions that cost about $5 each. A small selection of other dishes such as stewed pork trotters and grilled meatballs are also listed in the menu.

When hunting for this stall (unit #01-58), look out for the queue of customers because it's practically a permanent feature. There is only one type of order available here: a beehoon soup with a fixed combination of "yong tau fu" pieces (although they will check if you eat bitter gourd or not). And nope, you can't have a dry version. Despite all these "terms and conditions", I enjoyed it very much because everything tastes so fresh! 😋 Apart from the yummy springy prawn balls, the meat patty, plus stuffing for the beancurd skin rolls and bittergourd seem to be a tasty combination of fish with pork. I slurped up every drop of their soup - so clear and sweet it was with plenty of minutely chopped spring onions. If you're feeling hungry, you can ask to add beehoon for free. But if you want extra sauce, you need to pay 30cents for a saucer of it. I didn't mind doing that as I liked their spicy chilli a lot.
百年 is open Monday to Saturday, from around 7am till 9pm. Closed on Sundays.

Yoogane's signature dish. Comes with cabbages, toppoki, chicken slices, leek and spicy sauce. A great combination of varied textures and flavour. Only qualm? This is the serving size for two.
