This quirky Halal cafe serves breakfast sets, selected bakes from Windowsill Pies, little cakes, and drinks at fairly reasonable prices. Fall in love with the pretty, whimsical decor and range of merchandise <3

They live up to their name indeed! Wonderfully light and fluffy, each of the cupcakes come with a filling, which makes it more fun to eat. We tried all the 6 flavours that were available today: Red Velvet with Nutella, Salted Caramel (these 2 are mainstays on the menu), Lavendar Blueberry, Mango, Spiced Pumpkin with Salted Caramel and the Peanut Butter with Dark Chocolate filling. My personal fave was the Lavendar Blueberry.

I order the same Grilled Salmon Curry Rice whenever I visit CoCo Ichibanya. Seeing that I don't take spiciness as well as my fellow Singaporean counterparts, this restaurant offers weaklings different levels of spiciness to choose from. If you are not a fan of rice, you may choose to have less rice at a discount. Portion wise, a filling 9 out of 10.

Of all the places selling Nasi Padang in the Kampong Glam district, this one gets my vote. Their Beef Rendang is unique, being quite dry in style yet very tender and flavourful. I also like their Sambal Goreng which is essentially a quick stir-fry of chopped long beans, bean curd and "tempeh" (fermented soy beans) in spices. Overall, the cooking style is suppose to be true to the Western Sumatran way, so expect a milder kick.

This is one of the new burgers on I Am Cafe's revamped menu. I found the homemade beef patty to be slightly chewy but very well marinated with lots of spices. As flavourful as the patty was, it got even more "shiok" with the perfect sidekick - a thick, sweet slice of pineapple. Melted cheese and sweet chilli mayo sauce rounded off my gastronomic fulfillment.

And All Things Delicious is Tolido's Espresso Nook's newest neighbour, which offers a wide variety for halal-certified bakes such as Gula-Melaka Scones, Brownies and Galettes. The baker insists on using unprocessed ingredients such as unsalted butter organic ingredients so as to make their bakes taste more "natural" and it shows; clean yet flavourful treats indeed. They also share their shop space with Fictive Fingers that does pretty decent handprinted textile designs, if anyone is interested.

21 On Rajah is a buffet that recently opened in Day Hotel. This is a halal buffet so Muslims can enjoy to their heart's contend. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg

The churros was yummylicious. Served with banana and mango cream on the side, the churros on its own is delicious enough. The churros was cruchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Together with the crunchiness from the cinnamon bits, eating it all together creates a gastronomal explosion in my mouth

The beef was soft, though i felt that the soup should be more flavourful.

The serving portion was quite big. The amount of seafood given were generous but it was kinda oily. Flavour wise, the garlic was overpowering. Needs some cili padi to do the trick! But other than this, their service was 👍!

You could never ask for anything more when you have BACON with french toast, bananas and maple syrup!
