Hot Chocolate [~$2.50] A nice robust cup of coffee and hot choc for just $5 - First place I might actually max out all the coupons within a month of using Burpple Beyond.

[Others] Matcha Latte ($5, Soy +$0.50) I wouldn’t have known about this tiny coffee shop if it weren’t for Burpple Beyond although I drive past the area almost every day. Olla Specialty Coffee doesn’t face the main road, it’s near Balmoral Bakery but faces the courtyard of the HDB estate. Seating is limited, but it’s a very cozy little place. There are two tables and some seats against the wall with “armrest tables”, plus two tables directly outside. The outdoor tables were well sheltered from the rain so no worries even on a thundery day like today. The interior is lovely, and the baristas are friendly too. As we were seated outside, there was a slight accident with the first matcha soy latte drink that was made as it spilled while the barista was carrying it. However, instead of wincing in pain or cursing, the sweet barista was more apologetic that I had to wait longer for my drink! She immediately apologised and had a new drink prepared. The matcha latte was really really good. It’s thick with a slight bitter matcha aftertaste. At $5.50 for two cups (or $5 if you opt for regular milk) with Burpple beyond, this is an absolute steal! I would totally return to Olla, perhaps to try their coffee and waffles this time!

Beautiful Dessert And Delectable Italian Food Returning to this place for the 1000th times, that is how good their food are. Recently, they have announced their closing down, and I decided to bring my family to once again try their wide array of dishes (we nearly ordered their whole menu 😂) So what stood out particularly are as follows: 1) Appetizers i) Baked eggplants—Nothing particularly stood out but it was a homely sort of comfort food ii) Baccala cake with sea urchin (Must-try)— Just loved how the cakes go so well when dipped in the thick, flavorful sea urchin paste 2) Mains i) Duck Confit—A little too dry for my taste...but still worth a shot ii) Sea urchin carbonara—-There’s something so alluring about their sea urchin sauce iii) Kale Ravioli— Ravioli not too chewy, has the right consistency. Bursting with umami. iv) Wagyu beef cheeks (Must-try)— Wagyu just melts in your mouth. Paired with mash potato, the flavor is elevated. But on its on, Wagyu is good enough! 3) Desserts i) Molten Lava cake paired with vanilla Gelato — The lusciousness of the molten chocolate cake paired with a refreshing gelato elevated this dessert so much! Chocolate cake’s outer layer has just the right tinge of crispness too! ii) Mango cheesecake— Love how the different layers of the cheesecake come together, very harmonious flavor profile iii) Tiramisu—something a cut above the rest of the tiramisu, accentuates a very homely feel

Duck Leg Confit with Cannellini & Cherry Tomatoes [MEDIA] SONS deserves credit for its tasteful presentation of its dishes, like this Duck Leg Confit with Cannellini & Cherry Tomatoes [$26]. While the golden crispy skin is delightful to crunch into, it is however let down by the dry meat within. A touch (or a few) more of moistness in the meat would have done the trick. 🚇: Telok Ayer 💵: $25 - $35 Follow me on IG @chuepachups for more foodventures and recommendations!

Great (but Expensive) Takeaway Coffee Incredible coffee at %Arabica. %Arabica’s flagship store is in Kyoto, but after much success they’ve quickly opened branches around the world - with the one in Singapore having opened August 2018. Their coffee is extremely high quality. The geographic origin of the beans varies by season so you’re getting tip-top premium coffee all year round. Comes at a price though. I had both a classic iced latte ($8 for small, $9 for large), and a Spanish hot latte, made with condensed milk🤤 ($7.80/8.80). Think I nearly medically-overdosed on caffeine so will come back another time to try the matcha latte (the guy after me ordered it but I decided 3 drinks for myself was excessive🍵). Also, they do have ‼️oat milk‼️ upon request!! The design of the store is very minimalist, and very instagrammable. Bright whites and sparkling clean. The baristas also give off a really cool/chic (/intimidating?) vibe. The shop is small, so would recommend grabbing coffee to go. They have a few pastry options, but no other food. . 💰: $-$$ - expensive for coffee!!! You better love and be able to appreciate premium coffee if you’re gonna cough up $8-$10 for a cup. . ⏰: 8am-8pm daily . 📍: 58 Arab Street

Cool your sunny day! It is on a very steep price for a coffee. Worth a try but not sure if I’ll be back for more.

Butter Croissant Most people came here for their coffee, but they do have some pastries available here. I could say it wasn’t really as good as other but definitely worth having it. $3.20
