Really worth dinner tonight at Porta sg using burpple beyond 1 for 1. $60++ for 2 appetisers, 2 mains and 2 desserts. A+ for the excellent service and changing our utensils diligently after every course. We were quite surprised that we were served with 2 bread rolls as starters. Looks like regular bread but they were served warm and pillowy soft, which makes them especially good.
Here we have our first appetiser. 4 pieces of decently sized prawns with 2 types of sauces, guacamole and romesco, served with corn chips. One was on the heavier side while the other was lighter which makes a perfect balance as a whole dish. Not a bad start to the meal!
Two perfectly poached eggs atop turkey ham, sautéed mushrooms, fresh spinach and toasted brioche, all drenched in hollandaise sauce. My favourite component of this dish is to be the brioche toasts. Thick cuts, crispy exterior, soft interior. Paired with a pot of earl grey tea. Yums!
Served with Crispy mozzarella. The crispy mozzarella...so sinful...but so darn good. Do have it while it’s hot for the crispy exterior and soft cheese pull interior. The salsa topping was on the dry side. Salmon fillet was well cooked but nth much to wow about. Overall satisfied!
Requested for the Mediterranean sauce to be served on the side. A relatively lighter dish as compared to the previous two dishes. Crispy skin and very tender meat within. Size of the fish was decent and flavours were not bad but it is on the expensive side

Added Golden mushrooms ($3.50), Konjac($3.50) and Long Cabbage ($3.50). The Konjac came separately but what surprised me was that the golden mushrooms and cabbage were hidden within the fish. Chose this dish as we were afraid that the other flavours were going to be too spicy for us to handle and this was the only non-spicy, non-numbing choice. This was on the salty side so it definitely needs white rice to balance out the saltiness. Although we cannot handle foods that are too spicy, we do think this dish could add little spiciness as the saltiness itself makes it a bit jelak after a while. The addition of the golden mushrooms were pretty good call though as it soaks up the sauce really well. The fish was also of a pretty good size too. Overall not too bad.
Grilled eggplant topped with garlic and all sorts of spices. It was on the saltier side and the skin was a bit tough but a unique dish regardless, good for a change from the usual dishes.
✅ Grilled Chicken Midwings
Surprisingly good. Mainly because it was served hot and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Tasted like they were fresh off the grill. Delicious!
✅ Grilled Mushrooms ($1.87++)
Something I would nvr order again. These were way too tiny. Although it’s $1.90, it was pathetic. Taste is fine but nothing outstanding. Small portion with a mediocre taste...no thank you.
