Stumbled across this bar from Google bc we were looking for a bar nearby! We were shocked to learn that there was no menu & the bartenders made ur drinks based a conversation w u (to find out ur personal preferences). In the end, the drinks that we got were: mixed berries, passionfruit, sour plum & lychee, & Kyoho grapes with yuzu. This tiny bar had a v cozy ambience for a nice night out with ur date or girl friends! Service was good too! Try to get a seat at the bar next time so u can see the bartenders make ur drinks on the spot! Drinks range from $23-$25++! Would definitely recommend this bar for the experience (and if u can appreciate alcohol HAHAHA) đđź
Delicious eclairs which were crispy on the outside but really soft & custard-filled on the inside. It wasnât too sweet, which was good, but we wouldnât pay $8 for this (or even $4 with the burpple 1 for 1). These were more like a try-once-but-wonât-try-again kind of dessert for us! đ
We were really impressed by this dish! Cheesecake was perfectly molten in the centre, with a nice charred top & passionfruit sauce, which helped to reduce the âjelatnessâ of the whole cake. The crumble was also delicious, just wished that they could be more generous with it! We would definitely come back for this (but not the steak) HAHAHA
Tried the deckle, creamed kale & truffle fries. The sides were really good, especially the creamed kale! We ordered the deckle in medium rare, but we felt that it was slightly under-seasoned, however, it was better after we ate it with the pink salt at the side. Overall, decent food for a decent price!
The Earl Grey Lavender had a very strong lavender taste, not our cup of tea, but if youâre a fan of v floral-y tastes, then u should definitely give this a try! The Honey Dalgona was slightly too sweet for our liking as well, & the buttercream for both cakes were slightly too thick. I think weâll stick to our chocolate speculoos cookie dough cake next time!
We tried the strawberry lemon, pecan, grasshopper, apple frangipani, morello cherry & Sunday Roast! We wanted to get their banana almond brittle & toucan but it was sold out by the time we got there! The strawberry lemon, morello cherry & apple frangipani weâre slightly sour, so if u want something that is more tart, definitely consider getting these 3 (the cherry was the most sour in our opinion). We tried the grasshopper before, & it was still as good as we remembered :â) the pecan was unexpected delicious! We thought it was gonna be too sweet, but the brown sugar filling mixed w the pecan nuts was a really good combination & it wasnât too sweet! The Sunday Roast was a little bit weird (but it could be just us) because we just thought the chicken biscuits & truffle butter (which were really salty) did not go well with the rest of the sweet tart (white chocolate curd, caramel glaze etc). But it was worth a try (esp w the 1 for 1!)
Tried the primal which came with smoked brisket, cheddar, chimichurri & charred peppers w an all sorts bagel. Smoked brisket was soft & tender, but it was abit too fatty for my liking (donât really like fatty foods in general, like pork belly etc) but if youâre really into fatty stuff, then u should definitely give this a try! The charred peppers helped to cut down on the âjelatnessâ but would have tasted nicer if there were more greens! I think we would stick to Winner next time. Also got the PBJ with a multigrain bagel, it was good but we thought the PBJ tasted nicer w the blueberry bagel!
This dish came with a Hokkaido Brioche French Toast topped with candied bacon, pistachio nuts, caramelized bananas, raspberry jam & vanilla ice cream. The brioche slices were light, fluffy & soft which tastes delicious when eaten together with the caramelized bananas and vanilla ice cream. The raspberry jam had tiny seeds inside which gave it a really nice texture as well, & it had the right amount of tartness. The entire dish (even the candied bacon) was not too sweet which was good! Super worth! đđź
We were really impressed by this dish! The eggs were perfectly cooked & the pulled pork was tender. The Hokkaido brioche was also toasted nicely, crispy on the outside but soft in the middle! It came with a sriracha sauce at the side but we thought the dish tasted nicer without it as it was already well-seasoned! The salad was a good palette cleanser too. It had corn, tomatoes, beans, rocket leaves & it was drizzled with a light, slightly zesty sauce which was refreshing. Donât really eat salads but I gobbled this one up! The portion was huge & this was really worth w the burpple 1 for 1 đđź We will be back for more!
Managed to snag 5 pies during their visit to Pasir Ris! Tried the grasshopper ($6), toucan ($6), sâmores ($6), apple frangipani ($6) & banana cognac ($6). There were all really good!! Loved how the pies were not too sweet, & I especially liked the almond brittles in the banana cognac as it gave the pie a good crunch! Loved how they incorporated a chocolate cake layer into their grasshopper pie as well which makes it stand out from the rest of their custard-filled pies. Overall, decent pies, I would come back again! đ¤
We really enjoyed the red ruby (shaved ice with sugar syrup & tapioca-coated water chestnuts) as it tasted like those we would get at food courts in Bangkok. They were very generous with the red rubies and even added slices of jackfruit so that the coconut milk flavour would not be too overwhelming. The dessert was not overly sweet too!!!
Rating: 8/10 (tastes good + price was so affordable) đ§đ§
We tried the basil pork, pandan chicken and chicken tomyum soup (clear). The tomyum soup was good with a punch of spiciness. The basil pork and pandan chicken were delicious too. Prices were also reasonable (around $7 per dish) & it was even cheaper with 1 for 1.
Would come again! đ
P.S if you use burpple 1 for 1, you can only pay with cash, so bring some cash along!
