Salmon Gratin($14.90)
Mix of pastas coated in a cheesy, ooey-gooey sauce, and oven-baked till slightly golden brown. The ingredients of salmon and basil leaves were generous. Well-balanced dish:)

Ordered the normal(upper half of picture) and triple-cheese beef hamburg set. The nomal had a more meaty taste, while the cheese set had an ooey-gooey molten cheese centre. Really depends on personal preference:') Both sets used premium quality beef and it was flavoured really well. The sauces were meh as they were cold. The prawn and tofu sides were nice compliments. The salad bar offered 20 fresh varieties-absolutely love the pasta salads and fresh tomato, sweet potato and zuchini!

Finally tried the oozey matcha cream bun-the filling was generous and the bun was soft. Matcha taste was not too strong. It felt like eating an ice-cream filled bun as the bun was cold-definitely a unique experience! Won't mind trying the other flavours👍

Had the blueberry muffin. Not too sweet, and blueberries were generous. However, it did not live up to my expectation of being a stellar muffin- won't travel all the way to Jalan Besar for it. I felt that each muffin was made with love though:') carefully handcrafted and baked.

For $11.50, I would say this is quite a steal. I saw them butter the bread exterior with butter(oh so sinful) but this made the bread so crisp on the outside. The inside was still soft and went real well with the thai ice-cream. How they make a crisp exterior and fluffy interior makes me wonder-the top is also covered with a sorta speculoos butter spread as well. Whipped cream on the side too:)

Not so great sticky date pudding for $12. They just microwaved a banana cake, drizzled caramel sauce atop, and placed a scoop of ice-cream atop. Taste was ok but not worth $12.

The sashimi don was presented beautifully, with thick slices of salmon, tuna, hamachi, prawn and squid sashimi laid atop a bed of rice sprinkled with seaweed and sesame seeds. The don came with tamago, cucumber slices and even a bowl of authentic miso soup! Very worth-it!

I ordered Nabayeki Udon, which is udon served in a claypot. It came with tempura prawn, egg, 2 fishcake, chicken bits, mushroom and leek. Flavourful dish, however they gave I felt too little soup. Ingredients were fresh and overall worth $14

(Sorry for the poor picture quality) Finally tried the Sumo Prawn Noodle near my house.(literally a 300m walk? Heehee) They only had the $8 option left, which is the jumbo prawn noodle. I had beehoon soup, which came with 3 jumbo prawns, and 13 lalas. The broth is real tasty, with garlic chips and chilli powder adding to the kick. The seafood was fresh too. Quite a satisfying bowl of noodles, but I won't queue for it😂 Luckily, I didn't have to as I went there at 620pm.

One of the nicest bingsus I have tried! It had generous amounts of matcha powder dusting the shaven ice, redbean, sprinkle of sliced almonds and cashews, and lastly, topped with a scoop of green tea ice-cream. It came with a side of condensed milk as well. The ice-cream wasn't superb, but the matcha taste was distinct, and the ice was extremely fine and smooth, making it not necessary to add too much milk. The milk was less viscous as compared to normal condensed milk. Mixing the redbean, nuts and matcha powder with the ice is really tasty! Digging further into the bowl, you would find traces of matcha layering the ice(meaning to say they put 1 layer of ice, drizzle of matcha, followed by more ice). I thought that was pretty awesome as the matcha taste was distinctive.

Another Xmas special priced at $15. Comfort food, with the macaroni blanketed in ooey-gooey cheese. Thick chunks of lobster were also nestled within. They could have used more cheeses though, but overall not too bad.

A generous dollop of chantilly cream atop 3 fluffy, soft pancakes, garnished with apples and candied walnuts. The maple butter was soo good with the pancake, making each bite of pancake to be heavenly😍 Pricey($19) yes, but it is seriously hands down the best pancake I've ever tasted. So delicious!
