XL Chicken Cutlet Nasi Lemak Marinated with over 10 types of spices, the XL chicken cutlet left me still salivating, thinking of my next meal here. The chicken was crispy, and they fry it after you ordered. The nasi lemak rice smelled good and tasted good. The ikan bills and nuts were sweet and crispy. 2 types of sambal where provided, sambal ijo and sambal blachan. Both were 2 thumbs up. The waitress was friendly and the ambience here is definitely very homely. Like I entered my neighbour's house for nasi lemak.

Match Dessert Buffet 2 Pax For $45(incld Gst And Service Charge) They had a total of 13 desserts after eating one of each we were quite full. Most of the desserts were pretty tasty, like the match powder jellys and macaroons and the ichigo dango. $45 for 2 pax felt like an okay price, it wasnt too cheap or too expensive. Can try once and I ll probably go back again, if i have another free weekday afternoon :)

Get ready to welcome the season of spring with Lewin Terrace’s latest dessert buffet Oh! Matcha in Full Bloom featuring a spread of traditional Japanese sweets. This spread will definitely appeal to all the ladies out there with an emphasis on Matcha 🍵 , Sakura 🌸 and Strawberries 🍓 . . Matcha lovers can look forward to matcha yokan, matcha warabimochi, matcha dorayaki and matcha monaka. Unique to this season is also the sakura roll cake (with sakura petal flowers), sakura macaron, sakura mizu manju and a delicate daifuku with sakura leaf (foodgem’s favourite!). Wagyu Beef with Rice and Pickles How to describe heaven in my mouth? This piece of wagyu beef was so beautifully marbled and fatty. The puddle of beef juice leaking from those four tiny rectangles was a clear indication of how juicy that meat was. And so tender, not the melt in your mouth type but with just enough springy bite so that I could appreciate its wondrous texture and feel the juices erupting onto my tongue. The meat was simply topped with some bonito flakes, okra and pickled cucumber. It was accompanied by some Japanese shortgrain rice which tasted pretty normal, pickles and miso soup. It was a filling end to the lunch omakase and I felt really satiated at the end of the meal.

Tasting Platter The mini lunch course ($120) was served omakase style, with no indication of what was going to be served on the menu. It started off with this extremely delicate-looking platter. A tiny cup of spinach topped with bonito. Deep fried white fish with a tart, vinegary sauce. The most adorable squat tiny salmon nigiri. And finally what I like to call miso soup in solid form: dashi jelly, homemade tofu topped with tobiko. This one was my favorite; the tofu had such a delicate, unique flavor and just-firm texture. Ah, such a nice way to whet the appetite and set the tone for the rest of the meal. Also the view of the skyline from the top floor of the Shangri-La is so beautiful, I couldn't stop staring with mouth agape. Thank you to my lovely dining partner for bringing me here! :) <3

Sitting pretty on the top floor of Shangri-La Hotel, Nami serves up noteworthy Japanese floor with a great view. A great dish for a special date and or occasion, their Wagyu Beef bowl ($75) comes with Japanese saga A4 wagyu sirloin, sea urchin from Toyosu market, Kyoto mushrooms, French truffles and Hokkaido ikura. Topped with an egg, this was fantastic. There was no underlying fishinesses and the beef was tender with great mouth feel. A great example of Japanese culinary luxury.

Pan-fried Singapore-style Chilli Crab Meat Bun We tried most of their dim sum selection and my favourites are Bak Kut Teh Xiao Long Bao, Deep-Fried Thousand Layers Radish Pastry and Pan-fried Singapore-style Chilli Crab Meat Bun.

Best Seafood Still my fav place for seafood done fusion style

Chendol 12++ Nothing special at all, the coconut sorbet was good, and the chendol had more bite than normal as well as seaweed inside. But the Maldon sea salt wasn't applied evenly and that made some parts very salty. Feel like a lot of stuff here is overpriced and with the cafe-esque decor it's really hard to convince myself to fork out high end restauarant prices, even though their menu is interesting. I guess you're paying for the knowledge and the novelty but the taste isn't particularly stellar(I didn't try any of the super ex seafood but this was alr 60 bucks)

Smashed Avo Toast This was $20 and totally not worth it. It’s really creamy but the creaminess doesn’t come from avocados but something else they had mixed in which makes it really surfeiting. The slice of bread was really thin as well. Thank goodness we utilised the burpple beyond app

Great Hangout Place With Quality Food Once again, thanks to #burpplebeyond, chanced upon this cheeky cafe! The food exceeds our expectations where I tried “steak and no eggs” but was not sorely disappointed given the potato side was so delicious- crispy on the outside yet soft and creamy on the inside! The steak was medium rare and all was well! Not just that the service was really good as the staff are so friendly and attentive! Refilling our bottles even after we finished our meal and was sitting down there to chill and chat! Overall a really good hangout place that I highly recommend 😋

Passionate chef with above average taste and effort to be difference ordered the burger and beef! i love all the details that go into it, even simple things like the salad/garnish the chef wanna enhance the taste to make sure they get finished too! the beef is definitely decent enough to go back again! I feel that this lacks flavour or I prefer it to have a stronger teriyaki taste. Same as their braised pork rice, it wasn’t served hot. Braised Pork (Lor Bak) Rice Bowl Chunks of braised pork infused with rich and savoury flavours, topped with bonito flakes and chopped scallions. While the overall was not oily compared to the usual braised pork rice outside, I find that the rice was a little on the dry side and it wasn’t served hot. Top up $1.50 for an addition of sous vide egg 》$8 + $1.50 Sous Vide Egg

Ma La Pork Collar Mee Tai Mak It's hard not to like one-bowl dishes, and when I tried this, I was further impressed. In short, this is zhng-ed hawker food - in the best sense of that description. You're aware you're eating hawker food, but everything's enhanced. Flavour here is more accurately spicy-sour. Meat was like Japanese chashu. Unfortunately mtm doesn't let the sauce coat well. Inferior to the braised pork noodle but still good.

Prosciutto E Rucola I ordered this Prosciutto E Rucola (S$30.00) through the Oddle Eats platform, and this was one of the more satisfying takeaway pizzas to date. The dough was to my liking: airy and not too dense, with a good balance of crustiness to every bite. It was very nice of them to have packed the arugula and shaved parmigiana separately so that the greens remained raw when served. Apart from the parma ham, another important element was the sauce tub of chilli oil that accompanied the pizza. I’m sure many would agree that one tub was barely enough to go with the pizza, because it could make the already-delicious pizza even more mouth-watering.

Tonnareli Nero 28++ One of the best I've had as of 7/7/21. This tiny portion costs 28++ so savour it slowly but damn the sauce was so full of crab essence. Can only imagine the hours that went into it. Must try! We had pizza and bread so this portion worked for the two of us(anything larger and we wouldn't have finished). Cicheti serves restaurant quality Italian at restaurant prices but at such an ulu place. Their food is fortunately a cut above the rest though so the prices are kind of justified

Chili Oil Off menu. Request for it to go with your pizza. It was uh-mazing. I'm really glad the chili is real, there's quite some heat so it isn't just oil. There's a distinct Asian influence, almost sort of a mild funk to it but the edge is taken away since it's only an infusion. Good to enjoy by dipping the crust in, esp for monsters that usually throw the crust away

Decent Milk Tea Was really hyped to try their milk tea but we ended up slightly disappointed by the relatively mild flavour profile and lack of tea taste - my partner commented that it tasted more like milk than milk tea. We had the Yorkshire Milk Tea and the Lapsang Souchong Milk Tea - we both preferred the Lapsang Souchong milk tea as it had a unique flavour, compared to the Yorkshire milk tea that just tasted like mild flavoured milk. We will still be back using Burpple’s 1 for 1, but without a deal I would hesitate to purchase it again as I prefer stronger milk tea flavours.
