Saturday chilling in a heartland cafe. My mains was this #delicious and beautifully grilled salmon with a unique pairing of mashed potato (hint of lemongrass) and homemade cauliflower pea sauce. #happybelly #burpple (S$19)

Speculoos Latte ($5.30) A cafe with good ambience in the mature estate. Quite a nice place to chill with family and friends if you are in the neighborhood. This speculoos latte has a very interesting taste and surprisingly isn’t as sweet as I thought! Last order for weekend is at 930pm.

Waffle is a dish made by cooking batter or dough between two plates. The plates are are patterned to give a the size, shape, and surface impression. Yum yum it is always my favourite. Especially when it is topped with scoops of Creamy icecream or fresh fruits. Waffles have a long history. They are preceded, in the early Middle Ages, around the period of the 9th–10th centuries. . Featuring Buttermilk Waffle from @thelardercafesg. We ordered two scoops of icecream. Lavender Honey and Avocado. Love the lavender scent and hints of sweetness from the honey. The Avocado feels like frozen. Avocado milk . The waffles is very crispy. There is a lovely strawberry topped on lavender honey ice cream. Haha but it makes the Avocado ice cream looks a bit lonely. Waffles & Ice Cream ($10) If you’re looking for some desserts after your mains, or a sweeter start to your morning, try the Waffles & Ice Cream at 6 Letter Coffee. There’s not a whole lot of flavours to pick from, so we got the Belgian Chocolate with this. There’s also an option to change the waffles to matcha or chocolate waffles (which I wanted to, but completely forgot while ordering!) which cost an additional $2. Thankfully, the regular waffles are pretty good already. This took a while to serve as the waffle griddle was heating up. It’s beautifully plated with two waffles sandwiching a scoop of ice cream of your choice, before being drizzled with chocolate syrup and granola. The waffles are slightly crisp on the outside, but easy to cut into. We realised that the waffles seemed to be overbrowned on one side, but it didn’t add too much bitterness from the browning, and instead worked well to balance the rich ice cream. The Belgian chocolate flavour was a great choice, as the chocolate was prominent, and there were chocolate chips as well as brownie bits in the scoop. The ice cream doesn’t melt that quickly, so you don’t have to gobble the dessert down, but I recommend pushing it off the waffles so they don’t get soggy. I think the granola was a nice touch. The additional crunch was so satisfying, but I think the oats could’ve been toasted longer or seasoned more as they still had a strong earthy and powdery taste. Actually, nuts would’ve probably done the same job but I appreciate the effort to add granola on top.

Arabiki Sausage & Pancakes ($12) Another item from the Breakfast and Brunch menu - the Arabiki Sausage & Pancakes is a marriage of sweet and savoury in a dish. Two arabiki sausages served with a sunny side up egg on two pancakes, with a garden salad and maple syrup. For some, this savoury-sweet combination is a no go, but I think this worked perfectly for me. These pancakes are by no means perfectly shaped or as beautiful as many of the other popular cafes, in fact they’re irregular and quite ugly as cafe pancakes go, but they taste awesome and that’s what counts. The top of the pancakes were slightly crispy, and the interiors soft and fluffy. There was a subtle sweetness to the pancake that made it so delicious to eat on its own, even without maple syrup. When paired with the savoury arabiki sausage and egg, I loved the flavour and texture contrast between the sweet and savoury components, but I guess not everyone would. The garden salad was only a side, but I really enjoyed it because of the creamy green dressing slathered on the crisp greens. Overall not a complex or beautifully plated dish, but well worth the $12.

Classic French Omelette ($12) The classic French omelette is chef’s recommendation under the Breakfast and Brunch menu - note that the Burpple Beyond deals can not be used for these items. This dish is a classic combination of fine herb, pork sausage and shiitake mushrooms in a buttery custardy egg pillow served with fresh garden salad and butter toasted sourdough. Seriously you can hardly go wrong with such a combination in eggs. The omelette is so cheesy, you gotta dig in quick before it hardens and watch that cheese pull! I think the omelette might have fared slightly better if it were a little less cooked and softer on the inside, but I’m not complaining because taste from the mushrooms, sausage and cheese more than make up for it. I enjoyed loading the omelette up on the sourdough bread, which didn’t have a distinct tang, but was chewy and not too dry. The garden salad was also great! 6 Letter Coffee uses a green dressing that’s ever so slightly sour, but so addictive when paired with the fresh leafy greens. If there was an option to upsize the salad, I’d probably do it. *Note: 6 Letter Coffee is GrabPay & FavePay-friendly!

<BEST> Beef Short Ribs Honestly I feel bad for using Burpple Beyond at times. Quality food, quality wine, quality service! I won’t use the pictures of the mains because theh were so kind to portion the mains into two for us! Started off with some complimentary bread and it is delicious, toasty and fragrant. Don’t get too full on this before the mains! We shared the [Linguine] Arrabiata-style Tomato-based linguine with a delectable fresh lobster tail. No frills, fresh ingredients made it good. [Manzo] Beef Short Ribs was the best and most tender I have ever had, I was holding back trying to steal the girlfriend’s portion. Ended off with [Costata] -pictured- sinful chocolate tart topped with vanilla gelato. Again, delicious! We also had a glass of Nero red wine each and it tasted of good quality as well. Guess what, this whole meal with 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine and 1 dessert only cost me less than $100 nett thanks to Burpple Beyond! Will return even without Beyond!

Great Pastas & Service I’ve been eyeing Burlamacco for many years and I finally got to try it - the pastas we chose were amazing. We had the Boston lobster linguine and the pork ragout pappardelle and both were superb. The lobster was really fresh and flavourful and the linguine was perfectly done in a rich, lightly spiced sauce. The pappardelle was done al dente and paired perfectly with the chunks of tender ragout. The servers were really sharp, as they asked if we were sharing both dishes and they served both dishes in two half portions on each of our plates so we could share, as pictured! Great service and I’ll definitely be back again.

Quality 👍 Quantity 👎 Tried their famous beef short ribs and lamb. Loved the ribs, one of the best I've tasted! Lamb was rather meh thou, should have ordered something else. Quality of food overall was good but the quantity was rather bad, not really filling considering we ordered both meat dishes at $46-$48 each

Seating elegantly in One Fullerton, @forlinosg serves exquisite Italian cuisine while offering a stunning view of the Marina Bay waterfront, makes it a great date night venue. Was excited to try the Hokkaido Sea Urchin Linguine ($46), made of “Giuseppe Cocco” Linguine and Hokkaido Sea Urchin Sardinian Bottarga, the main reason why we were there. Sauce clinging to each strand, it gives a slight brine flavour from sea urchins and cured fish roe. Not my favourite dish from that lunch though. P.S: #BurppleBeyond has 1-for-1 mains for this place. So it’s totally value for money~ FORLINO Address: 1 Fullerton Road, Unit 02-06, One Fullerton, Singapore 049213 #forlino #forlinosg

So Rich, So Decadent, Such A Winner The Risotto ($36++) won my heart too, but I doubt I could finish this on my own. Remember, folks, sharing is caring. Firstly, this is a pretty rich dish. Just look at all that Acquerello rice in the cured egg yolk sauce. Even with the squeeze of Amalfi lemon that cuts through the richness nicely, it still is heavy on the palate. Secondly, & this is just my own personal thing, I can't eat raw fish. I did sneak some small bites of the blue fin tuna, which was pretty heavenly in terms of contrasting taste & texture to the risotto. Nicely executed. Definitely one for sharing, & I hope that whoever I next come here with will want to share this with me 😁 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats only 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Chope 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner

Quite Average I had high expectations for the Linguine ($42++) with Hokkaido Sea Urchin, but it was at best okay to me. I felt that the sea urchin should have been fresher, & I wished it were creamier. The Sardinian Bottarta (fish roe), however, added a nice briney flavour to this dish. But overall, unfortunately, this isn't my favourite dish. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats only 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Chope 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner
