The cakes and tarts at this new patisserie are terribly expensive (about $7-9) for tiny slices, so @pigg0ink and I opted to try just one item, the Choux Creme. It turned out to be absolutely delightful, the mottled crust crispy and slightly flaky, its entire cavity filled with a velvety vanilla bean custard that might have been too dense, if not for the clever and unexpected incorporation of crunchy almond nougat bits. Wouldn't hesitate to get this again!

โ€˜OTTOโ€™ is Italian for โ€˜eightโ€™, and dining here will give you reason to believe this was meant to be the eighth wonder of the world. The food speaks for itself, and its no surprise with acclaimed Italian Chef Michele Pavanello (formerly of Il Lido) heading the culinary team. A special off-the-menu dish we also enjoyed was the Wagyu beef and pan-seared foie gras tagliatelle ($44). Grain-fed for 180 days, the Australian Wagyu is incredibly tender; the pan-seared foie gras so creamy and smooth that it melts in your mouth like butter. A very hearty dish, but delicious nonetheless.

located in the heart of CBD, this deli serves up delicious bagels at a great price! choose from a menu of various bagel options and fillings, a healthier option to burgers :-)

Imagine the joy I had discovering this - one of the happiest lunch I've had since internship started (&after 2 days of greens). $10 for ippudo ramen! Broth's still good. (Actually $12 cos I paid $2 for egg)

Some say eww, I saw wow!! Don't knock em till you try em! The subtle hints of olive oil in this ice cream makes such a beautiful balance of sweet and savory. With an added buttery waffle biscuits, triple check! Sweet, savory, crunchy! Oh and creamy! ๐Ÿ˜ I'd forget their classic butterscotch budino and order their caramel copetta and olive oil ice cream instead. You won't regret it ๐Ÿ‘Œ

hot fluffy pancakes topped with sauteฬed spinach, tomatoes, crispy bacon, roasted ribeye steak, roasted chicken and two poached eggs with our very own red wine and dark chocolate infused hollandaise sauce. I guess this was enough to make up for missing vance joy at laneway? But to be honest, all that amazed me about this dish was the way it was presented. And because there was bacon in it and bacon makes everything better! The pancakes were a little too plain for my liking, even after I added maple syrup to them. Also, the texture of the pancakes were not one of the best in town but I guess I could live with that. For $22, I would say that this dish is still reasonably priced, especially for a restaurant located in MBS. It would not be one of my recommendations for quality food but for Instagram/Burpple worthy photos, this dish would suffice.

Would have preferred less pudding and more urchin. LOL. But seriously, the squid ink pudding is super jelak and kind of overpowers the urchin. If you order the full portion you will regret it.

A signature dish of Lolla's, this deserves all the accolades it's received. Fresh sea urchin (or uni) is heaped on top of a slightly firm black squid-ink custard. Superb.

The porridge wasn't enough. ๅฐ็ฌผๅŒ… for breakfast. Hahahahaha. I highly recommend the coffee and tea from ๅคงๅŽ่Œถๅฎค (located at #02-148) and xiao long bao from, ไธญๅ›ฝๆ‹‰้ขๅฐ็ฌผๅŒ…๏ผˆlocated at #02-135). The coffee had a strong taste of the roasted nuts and very smooth after taste. The ๅฐ็ฌผๅŒ… were very juicy. Becos they were chilled before they being steamed, you can easily eat them within one bite. Happy days.

Introducing Golden Escargot, the most tender and juicy escargot I have had. This is one of the real deal I have gotten myself with the price that I'm willing to pay and it's really affordable!! This is one of the incredible starter that is good for two paxs! And it paired pretty well with the beer options they have too!

This is by far the best invention for pasta I have tasted. Semi fusion delights (Thai Cusine & Italiano!) with strong flavors on creamy tom yum base! ๐Ÿ

Indeed an eye opening experience and this is highly recommended to everyone that THIS IS A MUST TRY when you're at 49seats!

It leaves you no regret having this for sure!

A cat has nine lives, but 24 Temple Street has already seen two cafes settled in the space so far. Arterial is the third, and its decor is by far relaxing despite being slightly dark and industrial. Currently in its soft launch stage, Arterial serves three types of pasta and four types of sandwiches, with croissants available for a tea time treat. Try their sandwiches here; they are less carby because they only have a single layer of bread at the bottom which makes room to try more items. Coffee is made from Liberty Coffee blends, and despite the lack of Latte Art they have got skill with its strong and robust body that yet is soothing at the same time. Shall check them out when they officially open again; this is a spot to watch out for!
