Ice cream from Oblong! π¦ I particularly like their butterscotch ice cream! Rich and creamy! Their earl grey lavender was a bit too icy and had a lack in earl grey flavour. The other was their dark chocolate flavour if I'm not wrong. It was average though. Maybe you could come here for their interesting waffle flavours esp their red velvet waffle! ππ»

Went to check this place out due to the reviews it got. However, it was quite disappointing for me. Maybe their signature dishes were their makis but it was out of stock after 2pm.
Dishes above are the salmon mentai don and pork katsu curry rice. The salmon mentai don costs $10. Portions are really small :( taste was average. The pork katsu curry rice costs $7. It tasted better than the salmon mentai- more worth the money.
Maybe the makis were better tasting and won't leave me feeling like this after a meal π
Yes, finally a fruit store with sweet fruits and juices worth the money! This store won't disappoint at all, especially their Avocado juice! π they are located on level 1 on the left when you enter from the entrance with the ATM machines outside.
Their cut fruits are large in portion and so the prices would be around $1 or so. The fruit juices price range are from $2.50-$3 onwards. Really a place to go to get our much needed Vitamins A's and C's and all other goodness. ππΌ

This place is the bomb! It's actually even better than famous Nakhon Thai kitchen. Firstly, the portions are huge! Guaranteed to be full.
Secondly, their dishes are really above average! The Phad Thai was good. The Tom yum had the bursting flavours of sour and spice. The basil pork was tender and not too salty! I enjoyed all the dishes!
Thirdly, no GST/svc charge. Paid ard $22 for these three dishes +lemongrass drink. ππΌ
To go place for value for money food and great for gatherings too :)

Was around ang mo kio and heard a friend recommending this place. Queuing time for the noodles is a bit long (ard 15min) but their noodles are pretty awesome. Their broth is tasty and their meat is really fresh! Try the ban mian because it is hand made and has a really soft and light texture compared to the usual kinds. Really delightful to the tastebuds! And the Tom Yum ban mian ππ»ππ» the Tom Yum is good! Sour at the start and spicy and the end. I loved it, even more so than my original you mian :) Their food gives a very homely feel. Go during non peak hours! Price range between $3.30-$4.50. Very affordable!
*Note: they have 2 queues! Order queue on the right and waiting queue on the left. Don't get confused!

Looking for food around ang mo kio and chanced upon this coffee shop with their western store named "Grill Legend". I hope I got the name correct. This place serves pretty decent western food I must say.
When i got my grilled fish with herb and sides, it looked small and disappointing I must say, but actually everything was surprisingly tasty and good and filling! The fish was grilled really well with a pleasant crisp to it. The sauce(not too salty) went well with it too. Their crosscut fries was what I remembered the most. It's one of the better tasting fries I've tasted so far at a coffee shop :) All at $7 ( has western food increased their prices? But ah I'll come back again for this if I'm looking for a quick fix π€)

First of all, this is a really cool place to eat. It's got a hippie coffee shop vibe selling a range of food from wanton noodles to seafood. What more, safra members get about 10% off on various food items too!
I tried the Beef Pho and although the wait was pretty long for non-peak hours, the broth was good. There was a decent amount of meat and their beef balls are ππ» - not sure if it's handmade but they were tasty! loved it! The prawn rolls were a bit bland so I recommend to just try the beef pho βΊοΈ $6.00 on pho and $2.80 on prawn roll.

Oh and do get their lime plum drink. It's really refreshing! πΈ
Ban Mian lovers out there, this is the place to be! Fragrant soup, generous portions of meat and sweet spicy homemade chilli... This will get you coming back for more! Both the soup and dry versions are equally tasty! Also, it's at an affordable price of $3.50! ππΌ Yay to wallet-friendly prices!

Warning: Huge sandwiches alert. (And long post alert) Overbought because these three dishes can actually feed at least 3-4 people π± The 2 of us had to take away the rest to eat it for dinner!
To start off, the huge spilling beef slices sandwich was the Cheese Steak Sandwich. It's mega huge and can feed two people really. One down side is that the beef pieces were quite chewy and difficult to swallow, so I did not really enjoy it, esp after it made my jaws tired from all the chewing.
The Patty Melt Sandwich (bottom left) was quite refreshing. The rye bread was crispy and the patty was juicy. There was a tinge of sour zest from the pickles and sauce which made it ππ»
Lastly, the pork fries- meant for sharing with three people cause it's so huge. Worth to try- but might get a meat overdose of you're eating one whole sandwich by yourself.
The place is a chillax wind-down-after-work fast eats kinda place. Aircon not to the fullest tho.
Overall damage: $16+$17+$12(no GST/ service charge)
Rating: 4/5 (food wise)
PS: they are having a one for one for their Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches UOB card promo after 5pm on weekdays.
Quite a decent Thai shophouse run by Thais located conveniently at Toa payoh central π Good service and not-too-bad Thai dishes. Try their Phad Thai ππ» their Phad See Ew fared a lower behind compared to the Phad Thai I tried previously. Green curry has strong coconut milk taste ππ» however, their curry was not the thick creamy kind which I prefer. Nonetheless, a good eat which is different from the usual Chinese cuisine you find around Toa payoh!
Delicious North Indian find if you are around Balestier! Their briyanis are one of the better ones around! ππ» guaranteed meat and fragrant rice! Also, their chicken tikka masala π one of their more popular dishes. Not in the menu strangely but they have it in their kitchen! Not forgetting naan! Cheese and garlic! All these can feed 3 people to the tum and costs $33.90. ππ» try try try!
