This platter featured marinated grilled chicken breast, lamb cutlets, grilled ribeye, and chicken wings, and is stuffed with a corn on cob and small hill of curly fries. The chicken breast was surprisingly tender for this unassuming cut of poultry and actually pretty well marinated. The lamb cutlets and ribeye were both rather juicy despite them being quite thin.

As far as meat platters go, Alter Ego's is not a bad choice to satisfy any carnivorous urges -- especially at this price!

A great choice for those who can't decide. The platter included grilled salmon, marinated tilapia, squid ring, and king prawns.

The selection was all perfectly grilled and fresh -- especially the fish! The salmon and tilapia just melted apart and is great for sharing.

The 2 chunky patties were nice and meaty and even layered with a gluttonous amount of bacon on top. Overall, it's not a bad deal although the consistency of the cheese unfortunately reminded me of plain bechamel sauce.

This bowl looked promising but unfortunately needs a whole lot of work. The lamb was exceedingly tough and was difficult enough just to strip the meat from the bone. The lamb did no justice to the butter rice, though, which was memorably fragrant.

Nonetheless, thanks Alter Ego and Burpple for having us!

Both poke bowls packed an exciting assortment of toppings such as tobiko, wakame, almonds, shimeji mushrooms, and nori. I love it when my rice bowls are chock full of toppings so each mixed-up spoonful doesn't get tedious.

Though the Wasabi Yuzu Dragon sounds like it would set fire to your tastebuds, the taste of wasabi and yuzu were quite mild and the bowl tasted quite similar to the original poke shaker.

Standard cut fries smothered in ooey-gooey cheese and pepperonis. Actually... that's where its similarities to pizza ends but who could say no to this? It's a fantastic bar snack!

There is just one thing you need fish skin to be, and that is to be crispy. This fared well in that department, and scored bonus points for being in huge slivers as well. What I'd prefer would be a stronger flavouring.

[Eat-up] I had never tried this before but it was truly a sweet treat! It tastes like the "long xu" dimsum on the outside because of the spun pastry but was chewy and cheesy on the inside. Just like the baklava, it's drizzled with a saccharine syrup that went surprisingly well with the cheese.

[Eat-up] There were about 7 of us sharing these 4 tiny pieces but we made it work. The morsel I had of this dish was flaky and not too sweet, with the addition of pistachio nuts at the bottom.

[Eat-up] Texture wise, I'm not sure this held up because it was a bit mushy even for moussaka (eggplants). They certainly didn't skimp on chicken and cheese though!

[Eat-up] The chicken was reasonably tender and nicely charred.

[Eat-up] The lamb was tasty but a bit more meatiness would be nicer.
