The pork buns were the best things in the house. Melt in your mouth pork with a fluffy bun. I felt like the ‘fusion’ ramen were just okay, not worth the long 1 hour queue, honestly have had better. Point to note, the korean styled dry ramen on the menu was a little spicy!

Just look at the texture of the scrambled eggs - beautiful and runny, everything scrambled eggs shd be. I really enjoyed this even though it’s not the usual hearty diner breakfast. Came with a generous amount of avocado and corn and no carbs at all. Finally a healthy meal for me

Bun was warm and fluffy, lobster portion is so generous. I absolutely gobbled this down two minutes. This came at 18 bucks and I think this is worth it. I complemented this with takeaway sushi which looked fresh and tasted great!

The lobster place sells steamed lobster directly imported from Maine as well and saw I couple of people having it and i guess its a good option if you enjoy the taste in its original state.

Chelsea market seems to have lots of other great dining options as well! I will be back for sure!

Tao is expensive (considering NY is the land of food trucks). Don’t expect very intense flavors (in my opinion). To me, the food is Asian but made with ‘western’ ingredients, I’m not too sure if I consider that really fusion. The two items that stood out for me was this orange chicken which tasted really like the Chinese sweet and sour pork so I would give the restaurant credit for making this so good. Also enjoyed the lobster and shrimp spring roll which was generous w the ingredients.

The place was so packed, made it difficult for conversation but it seemed like THE place to be seen/ hanging out in because I saw the place featured in Sex in the city episode lol! In short, be well dressed, enjoy yourself with a cocktail and enjoy the hip ambience the place provides.

Even though Shake Shack is gonna be here in SG soon, it is still undoubtedly part of the quintessential US experience. I can’t take beef so we had the chicken which was okay (didn’t feel it was too poorly deep-fried) but I felt that it could be juicier. The bun was the highlight, soft and fluffy. Also, remember to add the mustard in US, important for a good burger. Had the peppermint chocolate holiday shake too, sinful but refreshing!

Rumah sayang is NEVER empty. These are the two popular dishes. I like the mee rebus for the sweet but not overly starchy, slightly sweet gravy & the soft yellow noodles. My mom has always been a fan of the mee siam which has a slightly sweet sauce too.

Botanist serves a hearty breakfast at a very very reasonable price. This came at 23 bucks(no GST or service charge) and it even came with a full small bottle of jam. Enjoyed the scrambled eggs and toast but felt that the rest was so so. The bacon was quite salty for me. Having said that I would return to botanist for the portions and reasonable price.

Service was good but another point they could improve on was the timing they served the food. All our mains and brioche came at around same time (when we intended for the brioche to be dessert since it came with ice cream) so could have timed it to come a little later.

This scallops dish is amazing. There’s some miso sauce which probably has butter in it. SUPER addictive and would have gone really well with the sourdough (but sold out unfortunately).

Came here because entertainer BUT do take note that cause of policy changes, the one for one only applies for the mains, not this plate of scallops nor any of the starters. Nonetheless, my friend really recommended this and I can tell why.

If I’m not mistaken, they serve some of the same food as Maggie Joan’s so if you’d prefer a more casual but costly vibe, Gemmills is the place to go.

I seriously still always feel that al azhar’s standard is inconsistent but it no doubt provides very fuss free and quick service.

One of my all time favs is the Tom yam soup and I always order it with fish. It is very spicy and I will ask for the chili padi to be removed. It’s the sour spicy shiok kind that’s potent but will always draw you to order.

Decided to go with the satay, chicken was a little dry but I enjoyed the mutton which was quite succulent.

A really good plate of wanton noodles. I asked for my sauce with a tinge of chilli and added some green chilli. It was light on the palate.

And look at the size of the wanton, really generous with the prawns. A steal at 3 bucks!

Curry wok is that place that my friends and I used to frequent in secondary school when we felt rich. I haven’t returned in many years but the experience still felt as nice

Ngoh Hiang and Otah really stole the show. Otah has sooo much fish and Ngoh Hiang was wrapped with so mushrooms and carrots. The sambal packs a punch! I think we generally enjoyed everything and I’ll be back to reminisce the good old days again.
