Never thought I'll take a liking to "China food" because everyone says that they're oily and salty etc but omg THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!! The price is really cheap too most of the skewers are only $1/stick and the more "premium" items like chicken wings costing $3 or $5 /stick.
The skewers are served BBQ'd already and they place it on this heated box in front of you to keep it hot. The most addictive part about their skewer is the sauce. It's oily and salty and slightly spicy but in a really delicious way.
Highly recommend their mutton BBQ ($1), grilled pork sausage ($1), grilled pork δΈε±θ ($1) and the shiitake mushrooms ($1.20). As a beef lover, I think the grilled beef pales in comparison to their mutton but still worth a try. Will definitely try out other meats the next time.
Dried pasta for $16, home made for $21. Will try the home made one next time to taste the difference. But this pasta is pretty good, very meaty and full of flavor and the pasta wasn't too watery as well. (Some are so watery it's almost like soup) π©
I think the lunch deal is much more worth it as it is $12 nett for main, side and drinks. Came here on a weekend, promo was 1 free can drink with 1 side purchase. Around $20/pax.
Super awesome food sold here. The beef rice bowl was flavorful with tender beef slices. The salmon rice bowl has generous slices of melt-in-your-mouth salmon (usually I don't like cooked fish because I don't like the "fish taste" but this doesn't have at all) and small seaweed bits in their rice which gives it a nice chewy texture. Honey chicken and crab cakes are also a must-try.
Cheap and good no-frills steamboat buffet in Downtown East. They also offer mookata options as well. For the steamboat, you can choose between 2 different soup base - chicken soup and tom yum soup. The variety is quite standard, mainly chicken, beef and pork as well as seafood such as squid, prawns etc. You can also choose 1 portion of the premium items such as kurobuta pork and scallop. My favorite was the aus grass fed ribeye steak and the kurobuta pork rosu steak. Both were extremely juicy and flavorful. The A5 Miyazaki was well marbled too. Every meat item was perfect!
Don't forget to try the matcha ice cream too! It has a strong matcha taste yet creamy at the same time (some are just bland and some have this powdery matcha taste if you get what I mean)
