We have to say that Strangers' Reunion simply does the best waffles in Singapore. Don't let that distract you from the amazing cup of coffee you're bound to get here, seeing it comes from our National Barista Champion, Ryan Tan. This new-ish cafe in Duxton has some of the best cafe food around, with their satisfying breakfast platter, pulled pork sandwich, and the all-time Burppler favourite- D.O.C banana rum waffles with vanilla bean ice cream. The clean, industrial look with a warm, welcoming feel makes you wanna spend the whole day here.

Located in the most obscure place ever, La Ristrettos can be found within the maze of private clinics at Novena Medical Centre. You are in for a treat, with one of the best coffees, and latte art around. The kick - the mobile reception here is really poor (hey, it's a good thing sometimes!). Rest assured, no one can disturb your escapism.

The Dispensary is more known for their cake slices but their cupcakes are just as good. Suspecting they used a Red Velvet Cake base for the cupcake as the cake layer was red and gave off a slight hint of cocoa. Complimented with a cream cheese frosting with cute blobs of Sea Salt Caramel which was of a nice sweet-salty balance as it was not overly scorched nor bitter; seemingly close to the flavour of popcorn somehow.

Settled for this as dessert. Lemon Drizzle Cake that's a Vanilla Pound Cake base, but well flavoured with Lemon zest which was very refreshing despite the dense batter for the cake. Topped with honey glaze to bring out the full flavour.

A cafe that serves good hearty brunch on the weekends, savory pastries and amazing art gallery at the back. They're famous for their French Toast and many others that can be found in the menu! Visit them @ 17 Jalan Pinang!

Still the best (in my opinion) sticky date pudding ever! Topped with smooth vanilla bean ice cream, gula Melaka & icing sugar! This made my Tuesday lunch perfect! Followed by the banana cake with hokey pokey ice cream, another perfect combo!
