I loved the durian ice cream so much that I bought a pint to bring home!
Why settle for only chocolate when you can overdose on chocolate with chocolate? Go all the way, pull out all the stops and lose yourself in this huge slice of darkest chocolate cake that's drowned in deeply divine rich chocolate sauce. With a scoop of angelic vanilla ice-cream joining in the ultimate dance of decadence, it is temptation at its most powerful.
The Napoleon Tea & Caramel macaron from TWG is my favourite macaron. This macaron tastes just like a soft chewy cookie. Not just its texture, which is delicate and chewy as a macaron should be, but its flavour as well! It is also not sickeningly sweet. I've tried almost all the flavours at TWG, and this is my favourite, followed by Moroccan Mint. TWG macarons are medium sized, and cost $2 each, which is probably one of the cheapest. I have to admit that TWG sometimes slips up and I get overly dry macarons :( But these are rare occasions (only once so far) so that's ok! :)
Bananas cooked in caramel sauce, served with blueberries and garnished with toasted almond nibs. I preferred this to Hoshino. Anyway, a little bird 🐥 told me that #miammiamsg will be introducing a special cider in December to celebrate the festive season!
If I could wake up to something sweet, it'd be this thick block of honeyed pain de mie with toasty surfaces and crisp edges, topped with yoghurt ice cream and fresh berries. Sooooooo goooooood.
They say good things come in pairs..... So here's the waffle version of this week's special!!! Same rules apply! Only available this Friday to Sunday (17-19 Oct) at $11.90! #needisaymore #comeandtryforyourself
After seeing fellow burppler's @wendolyn post, gotta try this! Honeycomb! So exciting! However this came, the look of the honeycomb was abit disappointing plus super sour raspberries! But the ice cream and honeycomb was good. I just didn't take liking to the yeast taste of the waffles.
Real honeycomb, liquid honey in a syringe (too cute!) and choice of milk/froyo soft serve. Chose the froyo, apple &cinnamon granola. Loved it but melted quite fast and it was a little too sweet for me towards the end.
Strangers' Reunion's light buttermilk waffles topped with Greek yoghurt, honey and fresh berries has been hailed the best waffle in town by many. It's hard to fight these near-perfect waffles, so warm and fluffy you almost never knew a waffle could be that good. The yoghurt / berries/ honey combination leaves you feeling refreshed and satiated at the same time. Try these if you haven't yet. Photo by Jiehui Teo.
Veronica Phua puts it so aptly, 'Two thick yet lightly fluffy pancakes are so generously filled with blueberries and ricotta cheese bits, every mouthful is absolute heaven. As if that is not enough, three pieces of crisp bacon add a savory dimension to what is already wow'. Finish off with their wonderful coffee, and you've got the perfect brunch. Sit outside if the weather is nice! Photo by Veronica Phua.
Waffle drizzled with thick, luscious, velvety salted caramel sauce, topped with candied crushed cashew nuts and vanilla ice cream.Personally, I like the salted caramel sauce as it has a balance of sweet-salty flavor. Waffle is crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. The candied cashew nuts give the waffle a boost of nutty flavor and crunch.
*Update* Roosevelt's holding a waffles challenge till 31st July! Finish a triple stacked waffles with whipped cream, topped with caramelized bananas, vanilla ice cream & chocolate sauce within 5 minutes & the waffles will be on the house!
I don't have anything new to add to the numerous positive Burps of the waffles from this cafe. It really was good - light and crunchy yet still a little chewy. Fruit was fresh and the vanilla bean ice-cream, generous.
