[Morettino Cafe] - Bruschetta of the Chef ($14.80) made with fresh tomato, basil, mix vegetables and herbed cheese. I like the homely touches of the eggplants and zucchini which were delightful. Marinated and pickled in house, they are not soaking wet with vinegar and salt like those of ready made, which allows their natural flavours to come through. . [Morettino Cafe] - Salmon Lemon ($25). It was underwhelming somehow. I find the salmon slightly dry and the overall combination was a tad too bland even with all the fresh herbs and cheese. I would have opted for the Burrata pizza anytime! . Find out more at https://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2019/03/morettino-cafe-100am-mall-place-for.html . Tomato, mozzarella cheese and truffle pesto are draped over the crispy crust on top of the soft pizza dough. The sauces were rich and not too sweet. I got tempted to buy the raw ingredients at the cafe so that I can cook at home. Enjoyed our meal with light and refreshing Gryphon Tea selection. . . Truffle pizza at S$24. . Where to dine? Average Dim Sum But Value For Money Tried several items and nothing really stand out. Of the lot, only the Charcoal Chicken and Shrimp dumplings and the Fried XO Carrot Cake is sort of worth eating.

Great Dim Sum! Love the dim sum here. Priced reasonable too! Please try the fresh clam congee. Taste great! Love the fried carrot cake, the mushroom bun, Japanese dumpling, steam rice roll and siew mai. Basically we love everything we ordered and it was our first time trying it! Will definitely return for the dim sum!

IG 👉 @MAKANTERUUSS. Go Follow For More Updates💋 My recommendation : BBQ Pork Pastry, Crispy Mee Sua Kueh, Watercress Honey Ice Jelly, Japanese Dumplings. I made a visit yesterday to the Dimsum Haus, since i was so eager to try. So here it is my review (please note that this is subjective to me and my friends liking): • Steamed Charcoal Chicken and Shrimp It is a combi of seaweed and tobiko inside with chicken. It is juicy, and tender. But that was nothing memorable. • Watercress Honey Jelly This dessert really blow me up. It's sweet, but at the right amount. The lightness of this dessert slide down my throat, and bring nauseated feelings after a decent meal gone. • BBQ Pork Pastry This is definitely the one you should order. This was crispy on the inside and tasty as well. When the order came, the smell was super nice. The pastry is kind of sweet and has the special taste on it. Definitely 5/5 • Crispy Mee Sua Kueh This is also a great must to eat. Super crispy at the outside but taste good on inside too! I think its quite oily but still torelable. I have to say i like this dish better than at any place. • Honey bbq pork bun It just a regular bun for me. I didn't really like it because it tasteless. The bun is not fluffy enough and the pork inside was just meh. • Japanese dumpling Super smooth skin! The dumplings were plump and full of ingredients. The coriander leaf was a great added into the smell and taste. • Pan Seared Mushroom This is quite dissapoint me. I thought it would be some great dimsum. But i think it turns out to be just ori mushroom bun. They put like a fried mee, but it has no taste. The bun itself also not fluffy The time i came, around 9 pm. the baked salted egg bun was gone :(. You rlly need to come faster to get it i think. [Tono Cevicheria] - Pulpo "Al Olivo" ($28) is elegantly presented in shades of purple. The thin slices of octopus is dressed in black olive mayo, dotted with chimichurri and spiked with crispy garlic for a hike of flavour. The black olive mayo is intriguing, as it seems to carry a hint of grape flavour. A little less of the mayo would be ideal, so that I could appreciate the octopus slices more. . Restaurant Hopping -- Latinada Cuisine The restaurant was having special Latinada lunch menu during our visit in September 2018. Bandeja paisa $32++ (COLOMBIA pork belly)-- nothing fancy about it. Tasted like our local pork belly. Encocada $32++(ECUADOR market fish and prawns)-- tasted okay, not worth the price though. Pulpo Al Olivo $28++ (Sliced SPANISH octopus)👍 I like this dish the most-- unique and delicious. Salpicon $26++ (avocado salad) -- nothing special.

Arroz Mariscos ($34++) To start off, there is a critical need to inform readers that Peruvian food is not de facto Spanish food. Rather, Peruvian cuisine takes its influences and roots in cultural fusion, with flavours encompassing Spanish, African and even the Chinese and Japanese. Of course, being a crown jewel representative of a mosaic of cultures that are already present in Singapore, a Peruvian restaurant had to make its mark in this wonderfully apt country. TONO Cevicheria was vibrant and colourful, while still maintaining a rustic charm. With items on their menu showcasing both traditional and new-school takes on ceviches and meat dishes, there was an air of curiosity as to every bite of their dishes. We started with their Ceviche Verde ($28++), a classic variation of a ceviche that resembles and is often referred to as “green ceviche”. Beautifully marinated cubes of their catch of the day (Kinmedai, or Golden Eye Snapper) played harmoniously with the tangy and peppery jalapeño and lime marinate alongside shavings of corn tortilla crisps for that added bite. Their Arroz Mariscos ($34++) is a must-order, a dish that featured TONO’s special seafood-rich rice with meaty chunks of sweet shrimp, squid and rather fresh clams. Decadent and exciting, each bite of the rice was further enhanced by the subtle vibrancy of lime and chilli, a nice touch that displays the discipline of the recipe. Their Sudado ($38++) came next, a Peruvian fisherman stew with half a snapper, some clams and a rich seafood broth with onions, tomatoes, parsley, white wine and oregano.

I’ll work out harder for the 3 month long supper series at @lebinchotan! From 25 Apr, @jemm_cooks will team up with 3 special friends to bring us some special supper dishes. First with @archan_n of @level33_sg of LeVeL33; then with @sameernoog ex-Fat Lulu; and father of heritage food @the_rebel_chef of @folkloresg. For each special weekend, one of these friends would be cooking alongside Jeremmy to present 1 small plate and 1 big plate per chef. You get 4 special supper dishes for only $35++! To kick things off, on 25-27 Apr, ArChan will be doing her Stir-fried Clams with homemade XO Sauce for her special main. Train your tastebuds to see if you can pick out the beer in this sauce! I’d save some of the clams for Jeremmy’s Prawn Noodle Soup to further flavor the 4 hour pork bone and prawns broth. Will share the other highlights in the next few posts!

Just thinking about this Prawn Noodle Soup (Hakata-style ramen served in a pork bone-and-prawn broth with a skewer of binchotan-grilled prawns) that I had sixty-one dragon tattoos ago from the "Jeremmy & Friends" Supper Special Menu from Le Binchotan (@lebinchotan). ⠀ The limited series event sees Chef Jeremmy Chiam collaborating with various guest stars (ArChan Chan of LeVeL33, Sam Chablani of Fat Lulu's fame, as well as Folklore's Damian D’Silva) on specially curated menus over three special weekends across the coming three months. While the guest chefs' creations are only available during their individual weekends, Jeremmy's own dishes are available every Friday and Saturday, from 25 April to 30 June 2019.

Congee (akitakomachi rice, Japanese dried scallops and dried anchovy broth, uni, charcoal youtiao, nashi pear and sakura ebi) from Le Binchotan (@lebinchotan). Like a slobbery, warm and comforting make-out session with an adorable Shiba Inu. This dish is one of the six exclusive dishes showcased during the "Backstreet Bengs" six-hands event taking place on 17 and 31 October 2018. A collaboration with fellow Amoy Street restaurants Birds of a Feather (@birdsofafeathersg) and Ding Dong (@dingdongsg), the six-course event allows guests to experience two dishes at each of the three concepts throughout the evening, with one dish being an event-exclusive special.

3 Course Business Set Lunch [$38] Great place to dine with a view here- overlooking esplanade and the merloin. They have a weekly rotating lunch menu at forlino with rather extensive options for each course. Love that the chef has this outlet to get creative and come up with new innovative items! :) First course - Terrina di Fegato Grasso: Foie Gras Terrine, Apple Confit, Marsala Reduction (Supplement $10) Very delicate, love the combination of the aged reduction and the terrible. Wished I had more of that homemade walnut toast to finish up the terrine! Second Course - Ventresca di Tonno: Pan-Seared Tuna Belly, Capsicum Peperonata, Sundried Tomatoes, Capers Rarely take a risk with the fish selection as I am often disappointed but this time, i am glad i went with my guts and took a chance. Was really impressed with the plating here! And boy, they are generous aren’t they? Loved the cook of the tuna belly and that soft yet firm texture. The peperonata and capers worked so well I alternated each segment of tuna with either and at the end succumbed to having it altogether! Third course - Basilico: Basil Gelato, Cocoa Crumble, Lemon Cream, Italian Meringue Looks impressive but I got to admit I’m not always a fan of deconstructing a classic like lemon meringue tart. The Basil gelato is a great palate cleanser though. Love that punchy pesto! Would have been better if it was a sorbet! (Just saying)

Agnello ($48) This lamb loin is so tender and that is no 羊骚味! It looks rare but it is actually okay, for people who love medium rare.
