Newly opened in Bedok North Ave 2 is ice cream bar, Fatcat. Offering 18 ice cream flavours made from scratch daily, expect to find fresh and exciting flavours like passionfruit sorbet and butter beer, which can come served atop a salted egg charcoal waffle. Besides just dishing out scoops of ice cream, they serve a range of beautifully plated desserts and drinks. A must try is their incredibly refreshing lime mojito sphere, which bursts into an explosion of zesty flavour. For an ice cream bar, what is offered is truly unique, and Fatcat really does set itself apart from all other ice cream parlours out there.
SO GOOOOOD. Something not too filling yet tastes perfect!!!
Service was so damn good! Guy (his name) was so friendly and gave us a very homly feel! He came over to the table to offer us an introduction to the specialties of the cafe and what's good! He also took the initiative to chat up w many customers while they made their orders! The Reuben pastrami was very well done and nicely combined with some sourish onion thing in the rye which made it really nice and tangy. The salmon onion pancakes were really yummy too! Something you can choose if you're less hungry. Both items are superb!! Prices are inclusive GST which makes each item less than $20. Super worth it for somewhere in town, nice quaint, not too crowded (yet) and awesome service. Definitely coming back!
THIS is the money right here. The de-boned spring chicken (save for the wings) is soaked in buttermilk, oregano and thyme for at least 24 hours to infuse the meat with moisture and flavour, before being suited up in a batter of buttermilk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. What's eventually plated up are lip-smacking chunks of tender, juicy chicken meat glistening beneath a perfectly crunchy crust. Even the house sauces aren't spared from chef Benjamin's creative flair - the ketchup is tweaked with tropical fruit for extra tang.
Amazing value for just $16.50. Freshly grilled Sirloin, Chicken Thigh with Whole Grain Penne, Sous Vide Egg, Walnut, Sautéed Button Mushrooms and Honey Mustard Sauce.
Featuring a cold dish which I really like! PORK TERRINE, paired with homemade brioche (topped with a purple mustard seed spread). A perfect sweet and savory combination. 😋👍 Not just the food, the drinks are awesome too! Remember to give their coffee a try as Shawn, the first runner up for Singapore National Latte Art L2014, serves really good cups of coffee! My fav is their piccolo latte. ☺️ check out my dayre (@lirongs) for more photos!😉
Freshness is guaranteed when you order this dish at Botan because the chefs only prepare it when they receive a fresh delivery of tuna. Which is only twice a week, and which also means there's a limited quantity to these beautiful bowls of tuna belly tastiness.
The reasons why this is so darn good is firstly, due to the obvious freshness of the fish. Secondly, the fat in the tuna belly produces a wonderful creamy texture after being minced. Last but not least, there's the blanket of tobiko, the single raw yolk and the crunchy spring onions, which you're suppose to mix together with the tuna and rice underneath. This begets a very sensuous and totally satisfying gastronomic experience.
#Uni creme, butter-poached #lobster, Japonica #rice, #honey #ponzu,#caviar, char-grilled #cheddar #cheese, sesame, chervil - Limited to 12 bowls each day!!
Lunch is more worth it imo. Sashimi was fresh, had a wide variety + cooked good at the back but not many people were aware I think? Have a teppanyaki and mini shabu shabu counter to place your orders. The grilled scallop took super long tho.. Other than that, value for money + Haagen Dazs ice cream for dessert! Not much for the dessert spread but the grape jelly is yums!
Comforting zichar in the heart of CBD area... Yums!!
Very tasty and the portion was huge for a small bowl! We were filled for 2 pax! Not on the menu but let the waiter know ($5)
Pork could have been more flavorful with less of the batter. Nonetheless, was yummy and could taste the salted egg ☺️
