Got to try these for myself during the media tasting and while I'm not completely a fan, I must say The Missing Pan put quite a refreshing spin on a classic eggs royale dish. Substituting the usual cured slices are chunks of smoked salmon smothered in torched hollandaise, while the eggs themselves are slow-cooked to an oozy, barely-set consistency, topped with seaweed crumbs and served on sourdough toast smeared with avocado. I feel a softer bread would have complemented and served better to mop up all that molten yolk goodness, too.
I reckon this is one of the best scrambled eggs I've had. It just slips down your throat - a result of quality ingredients, watchful cooking and very well-controlled heat. Added my favourite bacon and portobello mushrooms to make it my version of a happy meal.
A calming environment with the perfect mix of vintage and industrial, Lola's is a great spot for a casual brunch. Their honey paprika wings are a hit, along with their trusty eggs ben. Pick a nice cider from their wide selection to go with your wings, and kick back for a relaxing weekend. Photo by gninethree G93
With an obvious passion for serving the freshest food, you'll be guaranteed a wholesome, seductive meal of Nordic goodness, starting with freshly-baked rye and sourdough breads at Gaest. Go for the roast pork sandwich, or the salt-boiled potato sandwich for an unbelievable tasty vegetarian option, or any of their salads. Look Ma, there's a smiling cat on my hazelnut latte! 😻😻😻 *meows*
This is the simpler and cheaper order but no less satisfactory. No abalone (dun fancy either) but packed with the abalone flavours in the sauce base & soup. Usual request is no chili sauce and vinegar, more oil and al dente Mee Kia (thin egg noodle)! Add the coarsely chopped chilli and you'll have the best noodle/ ramen/ pasta EVER!
