Enoki tempura is always a treat! Tamago was interesting - I've never seen such a tempura.

sauce and omu was good! Salmon average. Overall the dish was not bad!

Pancake was fluffy! Takes 20mins to make, so do order early.

The Plain Jane is a nice cafe to chill at with its cosy retro ambience and they are well known for their swiss rolls. The Original Crème Swiss Rolls were soft and fluffy, perfect for an after lunch / dinner indulgence due to its light nature. It is also available on Burpple Beyond for a 1-for-1 deal and we will be back to try other flavours of their swiss rolls soon.

So good!!!! Every element of this dish was so good and the highlight would definitely have to be the pork cheek. It was the softest piece of pork I have ever had that really just melted in my mouth and the favour was so good!!! Really enjoyed the soup and the egg as well that we ordered some extra eggs to go around. We ordered some Cha Shu and Gyozas on the side as well but personally I felt that the main dish was so good that the sides didn’t impress me as much (they were really not bad though!!). Price wise - pretty decent and normal for ramen. The main dish itself was $13.90 before GST and service charge.

The dish was very aesthetically pleasing and smelt good but I was slightly underwhelmed with the taste. I expected a stronger wasabi flavour but it was very faint (not sure if it is because I didn’t mix in the portions of wasabi that was on top of the salmon itself). The pasta itself was of a very nice texture and the salmon was good, especially with the slightly charred taste from the browned parts! I actually did enjoy having the salmon with the wasabi on top of it so I didn’t exactly want to mix the wasabi into the sauce hehe. Besides that, the dish was topped with shredded seaweed and another shredded condiment that I’m not sure of but I did regret mixing in. The seaweed mixed into the dish was good but I ended up picking on my food trying to avoid the other one!

My favourite thing about this place is that all mains come with a soup and a glass of ice lemon tea! Most of the pastas are priced at $8.50 (for the whole set) so I found it really affordable. I heard that the carbonara was their specialty but I’ve always been one to prefer Al Funghi over Carbonara so I chose that instead. Overall it was pretty good even though I wasn’t expecting them to use what I thought was canned mushrooms in a dish where the mushroom should be the star BUT for the price paid, I think it’s not too bad. The cream wasn’t too thick which I enjoyed even though I know some people prefer it creamier. The duck pizza was also really really flavourful!

Wasn't sure what to expect when I first heard that Seoul Garden had a section that offered cooked food because I know Seoul Garden (the buffet) was not really known for being the most authentic K-BBQ restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the Bibimbap I had! It tasted really good and it was a very generous serving (good to share if you're not a big eater because I couldn't finish this by myself!). Plus, there was free flow of sides so if you love your kimchi, you know what to do! The Marinated Chicken Bibimbap was also super good, possibly even better than the bulgogi one in my opinion!

I have to honestly say that I wasn't very impressed by this dish. When I saw cold ramen on the menu, I had the expectation that my food would be ice cold, like how cold soba usually is. However, on the first bite I was slightly put off because my food was closer to room temperature than ice cold. Even though the sashimi, cucumber and eggs etc were nice and fresh, I couldn't help but wish it was at least a little bit colder!! It was my first time eating cold ramen so i'm not so sure what the ideal temperature of cold ramen usually is but I felt that the change in temperature of the dish would level it up so much!

BURRITO BOWL THAT NEVER FAILS TO IMPRESS!! I decided to try the barramundi for a change this time and once again, the generous portions of fish and flavour-packed goodness of the bowl in its entirety made me a very happy eater. I particularly like this place because it makes me feel so full (and not in an unhealthy way) and it doesn't cost as much as many other Mexican places out there. Adding guac is a must for me because I love my avocado and the sauces that they offer for self service is pretty good too (I like the mild one best!). I can't wait to try tho other menu items there soon because I've only had their burrito bowls so far, but the quesadillas did look pretty appealing too!

Hands down a must-order for me here!! Everything about it is so refreshing and crisp and the flavours go sooooo well together.
