Baked eggs in cream sauce with spinach and smoked salmon. Cream sauce gave the eggs a nice savoury flavour, but can get a bit overwhelming with the smoked salmon. Spinach gave it a nice break in between when it gets a bit too salty. Come with toast to smother the eggs on, which has crisp edges which was a pleasure to eat.
Soufflé was really fluffy, bouncy and well balanced atop the tomato rice below. The rice was mixed with some mushrooms and chicken meat. Would have been better if there were vegetables. Good for sharing as one may get sick of it having the whole cheesy eggy business to himself.
Loved the ambience of the cafe!! It has a rustic feel in the front porch, but yet it has seats as well which had natural lights at the back of the cafe. The main highlight was that they had Thai milk loaf, which really represented the Thai milk tea taste really well! The Earl Grey Citrus loaf was good as well, as the loaves were really soft and yet yummy. You may even select the origin and how you want your coffee to be made at the cafe! This will be a cafe i foresee myself visiting more often :)
Back at one of my fav bars! Trying one of their Christmas drinks. I love how much rum they put inside! The flavours of ginger, hazelnut, advocat and vanilla ice cream with that caramelised meringue just goes so well tgt!
Enjoyed my Dark Chocolate Dome and Date and Toffee Pudding
Located near Tai Seng MRT station, 23 Jumpin joins the party of cafes in the East, offering affordable menu items great for brunch. Their simple and minimalistic decor creates a cool space to chill over some eggs benedict, bangers and mash, duck confit, and burgers. For dessert, try Jumpin's Orginal Cotta - their innovative take on the classic panna cotta, with a dark chocolate base and a generous sprinkle of peanuts to top it off.
Dropped by to grab my favourite milk pudding, but was distracted by how yummy these looked! Takeout lunch it is! The pork hamburger patty and fried egg smothered in beef sauce is sooooooo scrumptious with the pearly Japanese rice beneath. And those lumps of carrot and potato, soft and melt-in-the-mouth. 😋
Someone fell in love with the waffles here😋 #burpple
When this was served to us, we could all smell the strong cheese flavour. True enough, the dish had a strong cheese taste and a smoked sophisticated fragrance to it. I'm not complaining though, because I love a good cheese. There were bits of duck breast and mushrooms here and there. Wished the portion was bigger though. Durian Creme Brulee. Salted Egg Fries. These are all the reasons you need to pay The Quarters a much-needed visit. Located in Icon Village at Enggor Street, they take inspiration from local Asian flavours to create exciting and unique mod-sin (Modern Singapore) dishes. A sucker for salted-egg-yoke anything will HAVE to order the crispy fries with salted egg yolk dip, and of course, don't leave without first trying their signature durian creme brulee - with smooth, creamy Mao Shan Wang durian custard that's so, so satisfying.
