There are bits of lard, cockles and Chinese sausage but the noodles lack that distinct smoky savoury quality that makes this dish outstanding, with most of its flavour coming from the sweet dark soy sauce. Itās still worth supporting such stores because you might never get to eat them again once theyāre gone.

Yes the egg is soft and fluffy at least, but the rice beneath it is nothing spectacular. The demi glacĆ© ladled over doesnāt have much flavour, and its bitterness takes some getting used to. Come for his fancy flicks and your share of bragging rightsābut donāt expect the meal to be worth your money in terms of taste. @kichikichi_omurice

The spicy chunks of fish come mixed with chilli aioli, scallions and wasabi, also having strong hints of ginger, while the soy and bonito add tons of umami. Perhaps the tastiest bit is the sesame miso cone itself, whose sweetness paired harmoniously with the savoury tuna filling. P.S.
