Hainanese Chicken Satay ($9.80/5 pieces, $16.80/10 pieces, $26.80/20 pieces ). This is not your usual satay. Delectable marinate checked, beautiful grill checked, succulence and juiciness of chicken chunks checked, balance between chicken meat and fats checked. I usually avoid eating fats, but I found myself enjoying them here, especially coating with the thick peanut sauce that had an extra dimension of fruity sweetness from pineapple. Sprinkled with chopped peanuts and served with a side of sweet, spicy, sour, crunchy achar. Enjoy eating house and bar is also a #burpplebeyond partner where you can enjoy 1-for-1 mains (and drinks)!

Signature Salt Baked Seabass ($31.80). If you are dining in a group, this massive signature salt baked whole seabass is one good dish for sharing. Baked in salt to highlight the freshness and sweetness of the fish itself, you will be surprised by the myriad of herbs hidden within its stomach as it gets cut opened. It’s a clever way to infuse some green, herbaceous flavour to complement the freshness of the fish. Don’t forget the Thai-style dipping sauce to go with the fish, as it further accentuates the overall sweetness, a little tangy spiciness and some unami-ness from the fish sauce.

Singapore Style Chilli Prawns ($18.80). Add-on Mantous ($2/4 Pieces). A dish at @enjoyeatinghouse that got me all excited with its twist of fresh prawns cooked in Singapore’s very own famous chilli crab sauce. Swimming in the thick sauce were a whole lot of seafood gems including squid 🦑 and plump, juicy prawns 🦐 that were already de-shelled for diners’ convenience. Personally, the sauce was tangy and slightly sweet instead of a spicier kick that could have probably made it even more flavourful. Despite so, I would still gladly mop up the sauce with the crispy deep-fried mantous that should not be missed. • @enjoyeatinghouse is a #burpplebeyond partner; food is even more enjoyable when you get 1-for-1 mains!

White Wine Miso Cream Pasta White Wine, Miso Cream, Chili Padi, Clam, Lemon Zest. Checked out this neighbourhood bar conveniently situated just a stone’s throw away from Boon Keng MRT Station a while back for dinner. Food surpassed expectations; pasta was al-dente, while the white wine miso cream it was laced in was savoury yet briny — matches the clams (which were fresh) so well whilst not being overly creamy and hence not being jelak as well. Lemon zest helps to add a refreshing burst to the pasta to cut through those flavours and gives the dish contrast.

my favourite dishes at budding bistro @bistrone36: lamb shank stew and seafood tom yum pasta. they have quite an extensive menu of western mains and pastas here but nothing else struck an impression. the rest were either lacking of flavours or at best, just average. . 📍 34 whampoa west, #01-79, singapore 330034 . thank you @bistrone36 and @cliffton_jt for having me!

Burgers & Neon Lighting So we arrived at the shop at around 10.30am and they were...... CLOSED or so the sign hanging on the door showed. Just a small error on their part. Anyway I ordered the Messy Truffle Burger ($16)- beef, truffle sauce, cheese, fries. Beef was cooked slightly under and the truffle sauce tasted quite prominent on it own. However, when eaten together, the truffle taste was negligible. A friend of mine said it tasted like Mcdonald's cheese burger. A slightly better version of it. Pulled Pork Burger ($10)- relish mayo, onions, smoked cheddar, fries. Had a prominent porky taste in a good way. Burger tasted good when eaten together. Separately the pork lacked seasoning, same with my beef patty. Truffle Pasta ($14)- shimeji, shiitake, truffle cream, pecorino. Taste of truffle was present but not strong and somehow the sauce kinda lack salt in our opinion. Pasta was well cook though. Overall a nice place to hang out during the hot sunny weather as it is air conditioned. There's also free flavoured water available which you can help yourself.

Crab & Prawn ($14) There’s a certain home-style feel to their food, like it’s cooked by your friend’s mum that avoids too much salt. 😂 This was cooked a little too soft too but they were quite generous with the shredded crab and prawns.
