Matcha Azuki Crossiant ($4) I felt that the pricing for this was quite economical compared to other bakery also. I didn't know that got red bean filling for crossiant. The crossiant really got the crispy and crunchy texture when in reheat. But red bean (azuki) was quite sweet and complemented with matcha (bitter taste).

French Potato ($3.40) I didn't really like the mayo sauce garnished on top of the bread and just too much for sauce. I just felt too full after eating bread finish.

Tiramisu Cake ($6) The cake just destroyed by my hands once again and even though the cashier put the tape on the paper for cake. But still the cake just toppled inside the box lol :") the taste for tiramisu just not that strong as I thought but then still having mid coffee taste. The texture for cake and cream was quite soft and moist aftertaste. But they got three types of cake (Tiramisu, Strawberry Shortcake and also Chocolate) selling over the counter.

Poet's Poison Love this friendly little Whisky bar and this cocktail with Robert Burns Malt Whisky and Raspberry Vodka Liqueur in the test tube that you can add for additional poison. A cocktail for those who like it just a teeny bit sweet whilst still being a strong drink.

Chokolade så-så (ROI: 69%) Kan du lide chokolade? (That’s Danish’s btw) From left: Lemon Tart ($4), Chocolate Pistachio Tart ($4), and $1 Coin (for size), I would choose the $1 coin and pass on the lemon tart if I could do it all over again. Let’s talk about the chocolate mousse with a Pistachio cream base laid on a biscuit tart base. The chocolate leans towards a 50-55% milk chocolate which is smooth but leaves the pistachio cream far behind. But at $4 a pop, perhaps the bigger one at $8.50 might be something I might go for, more for the enjoyment of a tart in a nice air condition place when the weather is scorching. One surprise through was the elderflower rhubarb tart - refreshing and tarty. *Note: my taste palate leans towards dark bitter chocolate at a sweet spot of 65%-72% cocoa and a truffle-like texture. So please use that as a gauge of my taste perspective.

Assorted Småkager ($12 for 4) I liked the tart tasting ones (passionfruit/ the matcha which had yuzu). Pretty, so it would (look) good as a gift, but tasted mediocre for the price imo. Coffee was pretty decent!

Lemon & Earl Grey Tart 📍leckerbaer (maxwell) @leckerbaer.sg . We were looking for a cafe to get some work done 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️ and spotted Leckerbaer across the street. Peeking in to take a look, we were greeted by neatly arranged rows of their adorable bite-sized småkagers, danish butter cookies, and tarts. Having just had lunch we settled on their 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 ($8.50) 🍋🍂 as recommended by the friendly staff at the cafe. . This was a smol, inconspicuous but SO beautiful pastry. To describe, it was a torched meringue 🍦 piped atop a buttery tart filled with lemon curd. The meringue carried subtle notes of earl grey and had us contemplating whether this was what clouds ☁️☁️ were made of, however, it was the lemon that brought its sour punch 👊 in your face. Somehow, this totally worked even though the balance of flavours was wayyy off. Perhaps the big bully lemon playfully made the tart less jelat, and kept us reaching for more of that sour goodness 🤤🤤 . We wanted a non-caffeinated drink and settled for their 𝙃𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙙𝙚 ($6.50) 🌸🍋🍺 (allegedly their most popular lemonade). Evidently we were feeling very acidic that day HAHA. Though refreshing and palette-cleansing (with more lemon?) we’re not tooo sure if the ‘hibiscus’ and ‘blackberry’ part rlly came through. A nice drink nonetheless! . Taste: 4/5 Stonks: 3/5 Overall: 3.5/5 👍👍 . Leckerbaer is a simple yet luscious cafe 💙💙 that makes you feel like you just stepped into the right place to spend your slow weekday afternoon. Though a little pricey for the portion size, we particularly enjoyed our time here and the tart was really good! Do go down to experience the vibes for yourself hehe 🫶🫶

Cheeseburger A burger joint located inside GR.iD, which popular among the youngsters around here. go for their set menu which comes with fries and drink. Their cheeseburger was so juicy and it get messy as you eat, filled with generous ingredients.

OOTB🍔 Went to OOTB about two weeks ago and ordered a Thic Chick set with Waffle Fries ($14.90) and also a Classic Cheese set with Cajun Fries ($16.90)!😇 Burgers were done well and were very generous with portions. Overall ratings 8/10! I liked the burger and the waffle fries were great, but id personally prefer nbcb for their classic cheeseburger😅 Would visit again if I pass by!

🌟 Pulled Chick ($12.90) My favourite burger out of the 3 we've tried. Loved how the pulled chick strands were all flavourful and pretty soft and easy to eat, albeit a little salty. You can +$3 to get a choice of side and drink - Decently priced for $15.90.

Tendon [$15] Amazing portion - Great variety of tempura, and it comes with Chawanmushi, Miso soup (with salmon), and a salad. While the tempura was pretty normal, the rice was tasty and good. Overall, I'd give this ten-don, a Seven out of Ten (7/10). Good value for money but not amazing

Fried salmon skin [$10] Good portion (picture was taken after we were half done with it). Salmon skin was crispy and tasty. Comes with a mayonnaise and roe dip (mmmmm).

A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Beef (SGD $80 for 100g) @ Botan Japanese Restaurant. The seared wagyu beef cubes are so succulent, juicy, and tender, with a light chew that releases all the lovely smoky meaty fatty savoury salty flavours within. . Niboshi Tonkotsu Ramen (Limited Time) ($16.90) A rich pork bone broth blended with dried sardines and bonito flakes, served with house-made soy sauce and thick flat noodles. For a change in taste, the addition of homemade flower oil and kombu vinegar adds a tangy lift to the flavour profile. It was truly yummy. The broth was thick, rich and deep, with a distinct oceanic umami from the dried sardines and bonito flakes. The noodles had a tastisfying slurpy, chewy texture. The ajitama was spot on, soft with a perfectly yolky centre. The cha shu was standard, nothing to shout about but good enough.

Spicy Mazesoba ($14.90) This dish has been on the menu since day one. Ah yes… It’s practically the Japanese version of Bak Chor Mee. Thick, chewy dry ramen packed with spicy minced pork, chilli sauce, soft-boiled egg, mushrooms, spring onions, and seaweed. It comes with a side of soup to smooth the palate. Poke the yolk, give it a good mix, and you’ve got yourself a creamylicious, slurp-worthy bowl of noods.

Salted Egg Chicken Burger PSA: they've stopped dine-in. But I managed to negotiate a table from them. Their USP was adapting zichar to burgers, and it showed clearly. The fried chicken patty and salted egg sauce were totally zichar style, very big on flavour. Add a runny egg and it's freaking messy. I didn't regret adding fries - it's crispy yet full, so good I suspect it's homemade.

Coffee Pork Ribs Burger ($9.80) This is really the epitome of local fusion food - the zichar fav of coffee pork ribs, married with the fluffy soft buns and crispy fries. Overall, I would still consider this local fare with some western elements.

Salted Egg Chicken Burger ($10.90) I loved the bun, salted egg sauce and fried chicken combination. I felt there could be more curry leaves in the salted egg sauce, though! The fries were also excellent.

Not cheap but prata was good👍 Ordered their Prata Combo Set 2 that consist of cheese prata, garlic prata, fries and mutton curry. Their garlic prata stood out the most for me while their fries was really disappointing. Don’t bother ordering their fries😂
