A great place if you’re looking for a light and quick Japanese fix in the Bangsar area. The menu has everything from yakitori to bento set lunches and sushi rolls. Can’t complain about this hand roll – simple and fresh.
The Jap dishes from Bocoalley comes from Bocosan Izakaya, so this makes a delicious maki in its simplest form. Thick chunks of salmon and avocado rolled into seaweed, (not too much) rice and hints of sesame seed.
The chill, alfresco area also serves happy hour beers and wine!
Dates, orange peel and raisin sourdough bread. Oh so good to have it lightly toasted with butter and jam. In fact it's good even on its own- full of flavors with great textures. Get your real bread fix from Huckleberry Food and Fare.
Smashed avocado w/ 2 poached eggs and chilli flakes on toasts. Avocado was under seasoned but eggs were poached beautifully. Recommended to squeeze the lime for a little more flavour. Saw the next table asked for salt/pepper for their avo toast as well.
A nice space to hang out with friends or to get some work done. Wifi is provided. Kitchen closes at 5pm. Coffee available till 9.30pm.

From the people who brought us Huckleberry Food & Fare comes this beautiful bistro that does it all. Open from 8am to 2am, Birch goes to the far ends to indulge early birds for breakfast and brunch, as well as late night dwellers for dinner and drinks. Their interior fits all occasions, starting with a smart, sunlit space sporting greenery, chic cushioned seats in the back and a classy bar in between (where you'll find bartenders Alvin and Joel formerly of Case Study). Day or night, dine on an order of their Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes (RM28) — three large fluffy hotcakes, soft in the centre with creamy ricotta cheese, topped with bananas, maple syrup and large blocks of homemade honeycomb butter. On savouries, try the Shakshuka (RM25) for a Middle Eastern brunch done right or sink your teeth into the Korean Fried Chicken Brioche Burger (RM33), at first soft, then crunchy. For a coveted window-side seat with views, call ahead to make reservations.

Located in a quieter part of SS15, this relatively new restaurant has fast become a favourite for chapati in our books. Warm, friendly service couples with charming ethnic murals, making it a suitable spot for a casual lunch with your colleagues. Look out for their set meals, with a good handful accessibly priced under RM15! Each set comes with a choice of two chapatis, naan or biryani. Without a doubt, go for the chapatis. These are quality breads, made to order and served fresh from the flat-top stove. The Tandoori Set (RM14.90) is a great choice for the tender tandoor-grilled chicken, redolent of spices. Their dhal is of the runnier sort, but be assured that this onion and lentil-filled gravy lacks little in flavour. Alternatively, pile on more gravy with a Paneer Set (RM13.90) that comes with any paneer dish of your choice. The classic palak paneer (cottage cheese with spinach) is luscious.

Analog Cafe is nestled in SS17 Subang Jaya, just off the Persiaran Tujuan before entering the USJ area. This is a lovely spot to get your caffeine fix at tea time, be it a regular cup of espresso-based coffee, or a filtered coffee (RM15) recommended by the baristas. Hungry? Grab their Cheese Toastie (RM10), basically an awesome grilled cheese sandwich, for a light, satisfying bite.
