There's a new minimalist confectionary from Denmark opening on the first floor of Isetan Scotts! Remember those Danish butter cookies in blue tins? The småkager we know and love are back in a selection of eight core flavours ($2.80 each), with flavours such as Raspberry with raspberry icing and jam, and the Lemon with white chocolate coating. Joining them are a small selection of small bakes. Burppler Gary Lim says "you won't go wrong with the Lemon & Sea Buckthorn Tart ($7) with its buttery shortcrust and citrus tang or Almond ($7) cake clad in blackcurrant curd ruby chocolate pearls."

Rich in flavour and ingredients, this army stew is delicious. It tends to be a bit too spicy for some people but I enjoyed it a lot
Located a few doors down from Stateland Asian-Fusion Cafe, this casual joint dishes out hearty, juicy burgers. The halal-friendly offshoot of the Upper Thomson branch FatBoys, this two-storey outlet on Bali Lane is open till 11pm daily, so you know where to head to when late night cravings strike. Choose from eight pre-selected burgers (from $11.80) or have a hand at customising your own (ingredients range from $1 to $8.80). Note that all patties are cooked to well done, and burgers are served with a side of fries. If it's your first time trying FatPapas burgers, go for the signature Wimpy ($15) — a thick beef or lamb patty set on sesame seed buns and topped with turkey bacon, melted aged cheddar and fried egg. According to Burppler Alvin Wang, the burger is just as good as the non-halal version at FatBoys. Pile on the calories (because why not!) and order a Gula Melaka Ten Dollar Shake ($10) to go with your burger for ultimate fast food satisfaction. Pro tip: There is typically a long line at dinner, so make a reservation before heading down!

Would like to say I really enjoyed this, but...I can't in good conscience do so. Points for making my açai bowl so pretty — if only looks were everything. The açai blend was diluted (ie flavourless) and icy, melting into a fruity soup that sloshed in and out of the bowl when it finally arrived. Berries were also so so sour, not cringing was impossible. Loved the superfood granola, but everything else was nada.
At just $2.50 (regular) and $3.50 (large), this might be the most value-for-money chicken rice you'll ever have. This lesser known stall serves rice that is fragrant and light, and chicken that is tender and flavourful — it gives many famous places a good run for their money.

This humble coffeeshop tucked away in Bedok North doesn't get much attention, but it should. There’s ample space to accommodate a large group of friends, it’s air-conditioned and nothing on the menu is over $19 — perfect for that big bunch of friends you've been wanting to meet for ages. What you must order is the Confit De Canard ($12.90) — a slow roasted, well-marinated duck leg cooked in duck fat, topped with mashed potatoes, leek and cranberry sauce. The meat is tender and the duck skin is crispy — what more can you ask for? Share a Waffles ($4) with Ice Cream (from $3.80 for one scoop) for a sweet finish and wash it all down with a cup of coffee (from $1.50).

This is one joyful brunch plate that easily pleases the eyes, tastebuds and pocket! 😄
Let me break it down for you. What you get is a VERY thick and fluffy brioche topped with sliced tomatoes and melted cheese. The crispy bacon I picked (you can opt for smoked salmon if preferred) is heaped on top of it. Alongside those are a wobbly slow-cooked egg, chargrilled sweet corn and a Japanese-influenced salad of mixed leaves, tiny cubes of apples and sesame seeds. As I am mad for avocado, I got it as an add-on for $3 more.
In contrast to their popular "Molten Eggs", this dish incorporates the element of subtle sweetness which is marvelously refreshing. I find the combination of flavours here totally spot-on 😋😋 .
**not in the menu** This chirashi is top notch with extremely fresh ingredients including abalone, sea urchin, tuna belly, caviar, scallop with foie gras..and more.. Everything melts in your mouth and is so unbelievably good. The price is unbelievably better 💨 $200 lol highly recommended though. 😋
Healthy pancake made of wheat - healthy choice for those health conscious people. Taste wise, it was not not bad, but hoping the pancake would be more fluffy
Delicious melt-in-your-mouth butter chicken masala went absolutely well with the garlic cheese naan! Wasabi prawns were juicy and fat while the jap soba with vegetable tempura was decent enough. What kind of cafe is able to serve such different cuisines and yet deliver them up to expectations?!

It's been awhile since my last chirashi. Hugely satisfying as usual.
This bowl cost $12.8++ Erm.. More like "Gan Lao Mien" that I had before. But this dry ramen is not that dry! Quite juicy and texture is better! Good try! 21/9 night
