It is glazed with kicap manis, grilled and smoked over charcoal. The pork was tender and grilled to perfection. But I didnโ€™t how the satay was fully coated with kicap manis. I would ask for the kicap manis on the side next time.

We also had the ๐‘บ๐’Ž๐’๐’Œ๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฐ๐’„๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฉ๐’๐’‚๐’„๐’Œ ($6). Sadly, the smoke didnโ€™t add any flavor to this drink.

As their name implies, they focus on smoked items on their menu such as the ๐‘บ๐’Ž๐’๐’Œ๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฉ๐’–๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’Œ ๐‘พ๐’‚๐’‡๐’‡๐’๐’† ($10). The Buttermilk Waffle is first smoked in sandalwood before trapping the smoke in a glass jar. I love the smokey fragrant it adds to the buttermilk waffle which adds a little complexity to the waffle. The waffle was light and had a crispy exterior but the inside could be more fluffy. I had the ๐‘ญ๐’Š๐’๐’“ ๐’…๐’† ๐‘ณ๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’† ($5) and ๐‘ฉ๐’–๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“๐’”๐’„๐’๐’•๐’„๐’‰ ($5) ice cream. The butterscotch ice cream was way too sweet. I had one bite and left it alone. Skip the Butterscotch flavor, and go with the Scarmoza or Ube.

It is located at Tanjong Pagarโ€™s Guoco Tower. The apple pie is filled with soft chunks of caramelized Fuji apples and a custard which is too sweet for my liking. But I love the golden flaky layers of the filo pastry sheet. I also tried their Strawberry Shortcake and Freshly Custard Fresh Cream Puff but it was just alright. Iโ€™ve had better ones in Singapore.

One of the saddest days last year is when @dear.nesuto discontinued this from their menu (read: exaggeration). I cannot count with my fingers how many times I have gifted this to friends/family for their birthday and not a single soul said they didnโ€™t like it. When I heard Nesuto was discontinuing this cake, I went to their store to have one last slice of this cake. Please bring back this cake.

This is their ๐‘ณ๐’† ๐‘ฎ๐’๐’Ž๐’‚ cake. It has layers of cottony soft souffle black sesame sponge and layers of light black sesame custard cream. It is topped with black and white sesame almond streusel which added a crunch and a little saltiness to the cake. This cake is earthy and just slightly sweet (a winner for older people). The sponge cake is extremely light but fluffy. I am the type that smears buttercream on my plate but I had every last bit of this cake. Hands down, one of my favorite cakes Iโ€™ve tried in Singapore.

Ordered two scoops of ice cream: Richest Dark Chocolate Ferrero - dark chocolate with crushed roasted hazelnuts and Roasted Pistachio - rich and velvety smooth with crushed roasted pistachio nuts. It is made from 100% pure pistachio from Italy. Overall, they make solid ice cream - creamy and smooth. The pistachio was the clear winner for me. The nutty taste was prominent and what set them apart is the roasted taste. Letโ€™s talk about the waffles now. Freshly-baked golden waffles. Perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. One of the crispiest waffles Iโ€™ve tried, you can hear that crunch as you cut into it. Plus points, the waffles stayed crisp for quite some time.

For the mains, I tried the ๐‘น๐’๐’‚๐’”๐’•๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฏ๐’‚๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ท๐’๐’–๐’๐’†๐’• ($26). It is an organic cornfed chicken served with roasted vegetables and sautรฉed potato and chicken jus. The chicken skin is golden brown and well seasoned. The chicken is slightly overcooked for me. Love the slight char on the roasted vegetables. The potatoes were seasoned well and were not overcooked. The chicken jus or sauce was ๐Ÿ’ฃ, reminded me of the Ikea Meatball sauces.

I had the ๐‘ณ๐’๐’ƒ๐’”๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐‘น๐’๐’๐’ which comes stuffed with a quarter pound of chilled wild caught lobster in a toasted split bun. It is accompanied with a swipe of mayo and a drizzle of lemon butter and a dash of special seasoning. A decent lobster roll but nothing spectacular. Pretty generous with the lobster I must say. However, the bun for me could less dry and more fluffy.

Love the fluffy thick dense pancake with slightly crispy edges and served with caramelized banana. It is on the heavier side so definitely share this. I hated how much butterscotch sauce they drenched in it. It became too sweet for me, that I could barely ate it. Ask for the sauce to be separated.
