๐‘ฉ๐’–๐’“๐’ˆ๐’†๐’“ - Wagyu & us chuck patty, vintage cheddar, wilted spinach, crispy smoked bacon, tomato & crispy onions, toasted sesame bun & shoestring fries.ย Average burger, everything I tried was meh. I feel like the quality has gone down quite a bit.

My favorite pizza was the Roman thin crust pizza topped with fresh uni, uni bottarga, sweet white charred corn and trout roe.

Iโ€™ve been here twice in less than a month. The first time I ordered the ๐‘ด๐’†๐’…๐’Š๐’–๐’Ž ๐‘ช๐’๐’‚๐’š๐’‘๐’๐’•($28.80) which serves 3-4 pax and the second time I ordered the ๐‘ท๐’“๐’†๐’Ž๐’Š๐’–๐’Ž 8 ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’… ๐‘จ๐’ƒ๐’‚๐’๐’๐’๐’† ($55). Each pot is served with toppings of pork belly, bits of salted mackerel fish, well-marinated chicken, two types ofย lup cheong, and fresh vegetables. I appreciate how the server helped to add dark soy sauce as I never know how much to add. The portion is very generous and can feed more than 4 pax for light eaters. The chicken inside was succulent and tender (there are a few dry pieces but they were mostly tender). I love the guo ba which is the burnt rice parts. They were crispy and not burnt at all.

We started with the ๐‘ญ๐’๐’–๐’“ ๐‘ช๐’๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’Š๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ท๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“ ($38) comes with 4 small dishes. 1) Seafood fritters filled with lychee and cheese 2) Chawanmushi with Australian Scallop, Ikura, and Truffle Oil 3) Sliced Peking duck and Foie Gras served in Golden Cup 4) Ham Sui Kok which is a fried glutinous rice dumpling. Note: requires 20 minutes for preparation. Probably the most stunning presentation Iโ€™ve seen in a Chinese restaurant. Worth the splurge to witness the chefโ€™s amazing creations.

For our mains, we had the I love the thin crust cheesy truffle pizza. It is made from scratch and baked in a wood-fired oven for extra smokiness.

($24) dish caught my eye as I scanned through the menu. It is the chef's version of the American fried chicken and waffles. Madras-style fried chicken with a butter chicken sauce. Love everything about this dish, it also has a sweet element like maple syrup in regular chicken and waffles.

One of my favorite dark chocolate ice creams is from The Dark Gallery. The ๐‘บ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’† 80% ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’“๐’Œ ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’๐’„๐’๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’† ๐‘ฐ๐’„๐’† ๐‘ช๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’Ž is my hands downs my favorite. It is super rich and creamy. It has just the right amount of bitterness. I havenโ€™t had a chance to try their drinks or food until I came across a ChopeDeals voucher on @chopesg. I tried their ๐‘ฐ๐’„๐’† ๐‘ช๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’Ž ๐‘พ๐’‚๐’‡๐’‡๐’๐’†, ๐‘บ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’† 66% ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’“๐’Œ ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’๐’„๐’๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’†, ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘ญ๐’“๐’๐’›๐’†๐’ ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’๐’„๐’๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’† ๐‘ช๐’–๐’ƒ๐’† ๐‘ณ๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’†. Scroll down for promo!

The waffles were airy and crispy and the ice cream was solid as usual. I got the candied walnut as a topping for that extra crunch. The Signature 66% Dark Chocolate is a richer version of regular hot chocolate. My favorite drink would be the Frozen Chocolate Cube Latte (not included in the ChopeDeals voucher) which is a trio of frozen chocolate cubes, fresh milk, and a double shot of their house espresso.

My top three pastries from the ๐‘ณ๐’† ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’ ๐‘ฉ๐’‚๐’”๐’Š๐’„๐’” box are the Pain Au Chocolate, Kouign Amann, and Almond Croissant.ย

Flaky pastry layered with butter and caramelized sugar, with hints of vanilla and molasses.

Flaky croissant pastry shaped like an almond, double-baked and filled with roasted almond & vanilla cream, topped with flaked almond slices.

Chocolate croissant dough stuffed with luscious Valrhona dark chocolate and finished with a shiny Dark chocolate belt for that extra bit of chocolatey goodness.

I tried their ๐‘ฒ๐’๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’“๐’Š๐’•๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’† ๐‘ด๐’†๐’๐’– ($58) which came with Bibimbap, Samgyetang, Gyeranmari, Stir-Fried Kimchi, and Black Sesame Chocolate Chip Cookie. I love the Samgyetang, the broth is savory and very comforting. The chicken is well prepared and falls off the bone easily. The Bibimbap had a good ratio of rice to veggies and overall pretty good. Worth the price considering how much you get.

The ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’๐’ƒ๐’Š ๐‘ฑ๐’‹๐’Š๐’Ž ($38 per pax) is a must-try. It is a traditional Korean braised boneless beef short rib served with assorted braised vegetables. The beef here is incredibly tender and the broth is just perfect. It is best served with rice.

A โ€˜secret dishโ€™ on the menu. It is the ๐‘ซ๐’๐’๐’ˆ๐’„๐’‰๐’Š๐’Ž๐’Š ๐‘ฉ๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ๐’”๐’– ๐‘ต๐’๐’๐’… This dish acts as a digestive before our dessert. The kimchi juice is nitrogenized (I made up this word) and made into finely shaved ice. The Korean somyeon is marinated in perilla oil and white kimchi juice. Topped with nori, minty perilla leaves, and shaved cured egg yolk. Mix it thoroughly and let it sit for a few minutes to let the ice melt. A stunning dish that is the perfect transition before the dessert. Chef, I think you need to put this permanently on your menu for everyone to try.

For sides, I had the ๐‘ป๐’“๐’–๐’‡๐’‡๐’๐’† ๐‘ท๐’‚๐’“๐’Ž๐’†๐’”๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ป๐’๐’•๐’” ($16) with truffle oil and parmesan. Imagine truffle fries but replace them with Tater tots. These tots were fried to a perfect golden brown. The outside was crispy and the inside was a pillowy fluffy potato. Wish the parmesan was more generous and the portion was smaller. Quite pricey for a bowl of tater tots in my opinion. Itโ€™s good but not worth the price tag.
