Lovely Artisanal Teas in Raffles Xchange The iced Melona Manpuku tea with winter jelly was a green tea brew with subtle hints of muskmelon. Read more: https://www.misstamchiak.com/roji-chaseki/

Purple Sweet Potato Iced Lattero ROJI Purple Sweet Potato Iced Lattero ROJI ($6.40) . @RojiChaseki recently opened at Raffles Exchange and carries a range of aromatic teas with samples displayed prominently at the store front. I smelt each test tube and fell in love with the scents from all of them but for starters, I tried their Purple Sweet Potato Iced Lattero as the warm weather really demanded an iced cold treat. The drink came with complimentary cheese foam which I found to be way better than those served at Liho and Heetea as the cheese flavour was light and only served to give you that smooth soothing mouth-feel with each gulp. The purple sweet potato taste was also very distinct with tinge of roastiness which I really enjoyed. My only gripe about the place was its lack of manpower which was essentially a one-man show that led to a 25 minutes wait with just 4 customers in front of me. Kudos to the service staff who remained pleasant and polite and got all the orders correct in the face of a small crowd of customers waiting!

Living This Moment Now 'Living this moment now', the phrase on the cup says. Chanced upon this tea shop while walking kinda aimlessly around the area trying to find a nice drink to quench my thirst. Being adventurous as always, I decided to get from this shop and chose Tsubaki Oolong with golden pearls to be safe (the Xoxolat Hojicha seems interesting too). The price for the basic teas are standard ($3.50 for hot and $4.50 for cold) unless you are getting flavoured fruit teas or iced lattero. And the basic teas come with free toppings too! The tea tasted refreshing with a hint of something that I cannot pinpoint to (my dad thinks that it's an Indian spice lol) - I'm guessing it might be camellia flower since Tsubaki means camellia flower in Japanese. I'm glad to see more tea shops popping up in SG selling a variety of basic teas. Can't wait to try the hojicha next!

Soft Shell Crab Burger (~$15) & Chicken Meatball Linguine ($11) Soft Shell Crab burger comes with a huge slice of pineapple in it that i feel overpowered the entire dish. Soft shell crab was a lil too salty & wasn’t crispy enough :-( HOWEVER, when they describe it at “Handmade Juicy Chicken Meatball Linguine” they really meant JUICY. Love that they added basil to elevate the dish into another level.

Avocado Toastie! Finally tried the highly raved toastie here! The bread is crusty on the outside and soft inside! Perfect texture and bite of a good toast. It has cheese and slices of avocado sandwiched between. I added chicken breast for $5. The avocado didnt particularly shine in this. The chicken stole it's limelight with its tenderness and fragrance. I guess the poultry has been marinated with some ginger or sort, as it tasted like hainanese chicken! May try the avocado toastie without any toppings ($10) next time to see how the butter fruit fare on its own. The Signature coffee has some coconut oil on it! Slowly and subtlely releasing the scent of the coconut. It's pretty alluring.

CHICKEN MEATBALLS PASTA The moment i fed a spoonful of the pasta into my mouth, i went MHMMHMMMMM~~ it's so goooood!!! The noodles are coated with a layer of really light cream and has a burst of umami taste (cheese, cream, parsley and this taste 'X' that is just bomb diggity). It's a simple dish but really delightful. The meatballs tasted pretty chinese style, probably due to the way it was marinated and the ingredients that went into it. They're soft and juicy nonetheless! The dish wasn't too heavy and really, is my kind of pasta to have on a sunny saturday! No heavy cream to drown my palates. Yours truly at $15 (exclud. gst).

Parisian Gnocchi, Double Prawn Linguine Parisian Gnocchi was similar to carbonara, but somehow I didn’t really enjoy the gnocchi. Surprisingly preferred the double prawn linguine. Portion seemed small but dishes were pretty heavy so they were still filling. Quiet place to chill on a Friday evening. 😌

Valentine's Day Gems ($12 to $15). I just received some Valentine's Day cake from Antoinette this afternoon, and they are very good. I'm glad that I shared some of them with my colleagues, they loved it too and some are trying to get their bfs to buy for them 😉 🔸 Pictured are: * The White Swan ($15, cover photo). Within the chantilly cream exterior is light and fluffy cheese mousse layered with brown butter sponge fingers, rum, yuzu crémeux, caramelized apple with almond crumble sablé for some crunch. * Teddy ($12, second photo) - airbrushed chocolate on the exterior with almond sablé on the exterior, and within the bear is layers of mango mousse sponge fingers, jasmine crémeux with walnut nougatine. * Melonova ($12, third photo). Hazelnut dacquoise is stacked with layers of rose petal mousseline and refreshing strawberry jelly, cozied around with a thin sheet of pink chocolate and topped off with freshly cut watermelon and strawberry, Iranian pistachio and a sprinkle of dried rose petals. * La Rose Blanc ($15, fourth photo). Delicate gold flakes atop white petals of chantilly cream which covers vanilla and white chocolate mousse, layered with Kirsch-soaked sponge fingers, strawberry crémeux, pistachio nougatine with strawberry marmalade. 🔸 📸: @antoinette_sg 🔸🔸 #teddybear #valentinesday #antoinettesg #sgteatime #hightea #sgcakes #sgcafehopping #cafehoppingsg #dessertporn #sweettooth #cakelover #sgfood #iweeklyfood #whati8today #eatoutsg #sgfoodporn #foodpornsg #sgigfoodies #singaporeinsiders #sgeats #foodsg #singaporefood #burpple #hungrygowhere #instafood_sg #exploresingapore #setheats #foodiesg #singaporeinsiders #burpplesg
