Good ol' Authentic Thai! Came by for a celebratory meal as I saw that they sold a wide variety of seafood at an affordable price. They're having a promo for their crabs and we got 2 mud crabs for $48, and topped up $40 for the Tom Yum Mama pot. The pot was chock full of fresh prawns, squid, clams and noodles, though I thought the price was a lil bit steep. Crabs were great and decently sized for the price, and the tomyum soup was on the lighter side (though you can add chilli flakes for a spicier kick!). We also got the sambal kang kong ($12) which was delicious, and Iced Green Milk Tea ($3.50) to wash everything down - pleasantly surprised that the syrup is provided separately so you can dial the sweetness to your liking! Ended off with a Mango Glutinous Rice ($9) which was so good and the mangoes were so sweet, though I felt they could be more generous with the sticky rice. Overall, a great meal at great value, and at a convenient location too! Would definitely return!

Black Glutinous Rice 8.9+(SVC Only) Every once in a while, a godly dish comes along. What's rarer is when you totally didn't expect it. Perfect pulut Hitam, salty coconut milk, ice cream, crunch from peanuts and crispies. The interplay of textures, temperatures and flavours are truly Michelin worthy. Worth a pilgrimage, just for this dessert. Truly the best black glutinous rice dessert I've ever had PS unfortunately, not all their desserts are equally astounding. Heard from the other table that the mango is sour(mango sticky rice)

Burrple deal is over The soup was great not gonna lie. But felt sort of hoodwinked, cos upon reaching the shop and wanting to redeem the burpple deal -i literally showed my burpple app to them- the stallkeeper replied that the deal is over already, even though it's evidently still available on the burrple app. Nonetheless, didn't want to argue with them and decided to order from them since we have already made the way there, and it was delish to be honest. But seriously, doesn't feel good to be hoodwinked.

Gold Standard Fish Soup@$5.50 One of my favourite fish soup place at bugis has now opened an outlet at hougang. Fish is fresh, soup is delicious. Take note there's no more burrple deals here. Fermented pork is not even on their menu anymore.

Pork Jowl Rice This bowl packs a punch. Tender pork jowl with just the right amount of fat, onsen egg with that golden runny yolk and salted veg that cuts through everything with a tangy punch. The meat-to-rice ratio is generous and it’s melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, aromatic braise. The sauce coats every grain nicely, making each bite savoury and satisfying. Celebrity Prawn Noodle One of the famous stall here hence decided to give it a try. Ordered their Celebrity Pork Rib Prawn Noodle ($6) as wanted to try their pork rib too. I like that the prawn is already cut for you hence able to eat easily. Pork Rib is good too. The soup broth is not typical prawn soup. It has more umami into it and I like it.

Al dente Noodle First time eating at this hawker centre so decided to give this wanton noodle ($4) a try. Char Siew is pretty standard, wanton is quite plump. I like that the noodle is al dente and the sauce is flavourful

🎶GO big or GO home~ GoGo~🎶 Can’t go home over lunch so I’m going for @GOGObentosg! 😉 Available in 3 different sizes ($10/$12/$15), you are bound to be able to fill your tummy with nutritional food here! ✔ I chose the Medium one as I was feeling pretty hungry. 🐷 Comes with a generous portion of brown rice, 1 protein & 2 veggies, it includes a bottle of unsweetened green tea too! 🍵 . The Sesame Ginger Chicken (麻油鸡) 🐓 was insanely aromatic & I liked that it was not overly greasy. Sufficiently tender, it was a really comforting & homely eat! 😋😋😋 The balsamic cherry tomatoes 🍅 rendered a refreshing touch with its tangy flavours while the edamame added a nice crunch & earthy nutty flavours! 💚 . Other proteins include Assam Pedas Fish 🐟 and Baked Tempeh (perfect for vegetarians). Scallop Tomato Cream Pasta ($33++) Loved this dish! The scallops were well-seasoned and not at all rubbery. The tomato cream sauce was rich without being too heavy, and the radish slices added a refreshing crunch. Pasta could’ve been a little more al dente for my liking, but overall still satisfying. Would return just for this!

Baked Sea Perch ($29++) The plating was gorgeous, and the portion generous. The seabass fillet was nicely cooked with crispy skin, though I personally wished the skin was just a touch more salted to bring out the flavour. The added pieces of deep fried fish skin were unnecessary to me. Plus, it was not crispy. The asparagus was a great pairing—tender and fresh. The sauce had red pepper taste and more abundant than past reviews suggested (a win for pepper lovers!), but as someone who isn’t big on pepper, the strong infusion wasn’t to my taste. Caviar was alright—adds a nice touch visually, but don’t expect high-grade quality. Overall, a decent dish if you enjoy pepper-forward sauces.

BYO Poke Bowl Decided to try regular BYO Poke Bowl ($15.50). I chose signature sushi rice as base; chose japanese cucumbers, honey pineapple, wakame seaweed, carrot, sweet corn, cajun rosemary sweet potato mash (taste like sweet potato), kimchi (extra charge - $1.50) as topping; chose sous vide dashi chicken (taste quite bland) and original shoyu salmon (taste quite salty) as byo poke bowl: chose garlic granules; furikake; tobiko as garnishes. I felt that it's quite full and bloated tbh and got different taste for different ingredients mixed into byo poke bowl.

Shoyu Salmon Poke Bowl 10/10! Forever my go-to meal for smth light yet filling! I usually order the regular bowl ($14.50). U can choose a base 6 toppings and a combination of 2 sides. I always go for a romaine lettuce base with cucumber, cherry tomatoes and loootssss of Wakame seaweed, topped with shout salmon. Poke theory never fails to hit the spot 🤩

The base of chewy mee pok / wide flat egg noodles with grainy sweet savoury flavour, is glazed with a Chinese Hakka style thick soy bean and mushroom gravy that lends earthy salty savoury flavour. . Stalks of crunchy nai bai / milk cabbage lend vegetal sweet flavour, while crisp tofu puffs lend a lovely contrast to texture. . Fresh Yam Taro Coconut Cake Parfait (SGD $7.50) @ Green Dot. This is a rich, filling dessert, suitable for sharing. . It features chunky crumbly sticky smooth layers of mashed yam / taro, mashed purple sweet potato, coconut cream, vegan whipped cream, oat streusel, and cake crumbs, garnished with juicy cranberries and yam / taro cream. . Martini ($18) The alcoholic drink menu is pretty extensive, at least a few pages long, with only a few non alcoholic options. The martini here was alright, not the super potent ones but yet with a good splash of alcohol.

Beef brisket prata ($20) If I had to pick a favourite from the meal, that would be this beef brisket prata. This was done a la quesadilla style, with chunks of beef and cheese sandwiches between a crispy oily prata. Have it when it’s hot. This made for a real sinful and artery-clogging treat.

Spice crusted lamb chops ($38) This was meaty and tender. I know most people would prefer the gameyness to be muted but I for one like there to be just a little of that pungency to give lamb it’s unique flavour. Enjoyed the way they added spice as a crusting, something you don’t see all that often in restaurants.
