got this because my friend was raving endlessly about it. didnโt think it was anything special but it has seaweed, mayo AND fish roe so itโs bound to taste good ๐๐ป was v savoury! good for sharing; one bowl makes around 6-8 small rice balls!
this was huge and enough to feed 4 people. the pancake was flavourful and chock full of kimchi and was crispy, especially at the edges, when served. however the centre became doughy once it cooled so the huge size wasnโt that appealing anymore ๐ฅฒ
the yam paste was thick with taro chunks ๐ just that slightly too sweet for me bc i have 0% sugar tastebuds but still an acceptable siew-dai level. liked that they used walnuts instead of gingko nuts! added nuttiness and crunch which complemented the yam filling. the crust however was a little disappointing as it was too crumbly and lacked the buttery fragrance one would expect.
my absolute fav bread from duke bakery!!!! the bread itself is kinda plain but the black ssm filling more than makes up for it!! i LOOOVE the grainy texture hehe and itโs super fragrant and has a slight crunch ๐คฉ read some reviews that the filling is too sweet but i actually thought the sweetness level is perfect and iโm a 0% sugar kinda person ๐ณ
alw see people recommending their burgers and i can see why!! the buns were buttery and well-toasted while the beef patty was v juicy and flavourful ๐ and the heap of curly fries!!! almost impossible to go wrong but anyway they were crispy and good ๐๐ป
must say that they were v generous with the beef chunks which were quite tender. enjoyed the red wine sauce!! flavourful and paired well with the beef~
didnโt need the extra carbs but my friend raved about this so i had to try!! itโs a small portion of rice topped with decadent pork slices and a raw egg yolk. the pork was v well-seasoned and tgt w the creaminess of the egg yolk, this was truly a bowl of goodness ๐ฎโ๐จ
was worried that the broth would taste fishy due to the sardine but it wasnโt at all!! it was rich with strong bonito flavours and had pieces of charred char siew, which were tender and added to the smokiness! also the NOODLES. thick, chewy and suuuper springy ๐๐๐ป they werenโt kidding about the 1.5x portion tho, i had trouble finishing the mountain of noodles on my own
first time trying this dish and it was unexpectedly good! really liked how crispy the skin was and it wasnโt too oily. paired well with the sweet chilli sauce it was served with!
have to get guan miao noodles whenever thereโs an option for it ๐ chewy and springy with a firm bite! initially thought there was too little chilli but when mixed in, it was enough to coat every strand and still packed a punch. had the right balance of vinegary and spicy flavours ๐ the dumplings were not bad too though the skin could be slighly thinner
best thing on their menu!!! perfectly springy noodles and 5 huge plump dumplings tossed in a highly addictive spicy and numbing mala-like sauce ๐คฉ which is what keeps me coming back for more. i always say the portion is too huge for me but end up finishing it all cos itโs that good ๐ฎโ๐จ
the funan outlet has an ongoing promo of 50% off your second bowl, which is just the cherry on top ๐๐ป super value-for-money!!!
must say the wantons were great! huge, juicy and generously packed with fillings. however, the dish was overall underseasoned and tbh, bland ๐ฅ maybe the chilli oil version would fare better and have more flavour!
