Second try today and scored these crispy pratas at 0945am within 5-10 mins!!! They tend to be sold out at 1130am so you need to be early! While it was good - crisp prata without being too doughy, I wouldn't really wait too long for it!! Their fish curry and sambal chilli was a very good combination too 👌

Medium rare steak at a coffeeshop in Holland Village. It was a very good meal, nothing beats biting into soft and tender man-food and savouring the juices that flows out of the meat. The sides were great too. For just $15, will definitely come again.

Immanuel French Kitchen is located next to Alexandra Hawker Centre. What makes them stand out is that of course they serve French cuisine which is not a normal nor natural sight in a hawker centre. The only ones who have paved the way for affordable French food is Saveur but even then that's in a restaurant setting. Thus, I was curious to check this place out. The fact that IFK is situated in a cluster of western food stalls (Stew Kuche, Seasalt, Two wings) is that it gives the diner a variety of choice, thus enhancing the entire dining experience. They do their part by setting checkered tablecloths, which creates a rather homely and intimate setting. In terms of ambience, despite it being in a hawker, it was pleasant dining experience.

Zooming into the featured dish, the Duck Leg Confit. A staple of French food but by no means an easy dish. I felt that my duck leg was slightly charred on the outside, as you can see from the slightly black-coloured crust. However, the dish was flavorful. The texture of the crisp skin and the tender meat was done well. The complementing mash was also extremely delicious, not being too buttery, but also retaining a soft and easy-to-eat texture. For what I'm getting at a hawker, I was more than pleased.

It's a vegetarian Mysore Mutton from Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant. Tastes as good as the real thing, if not better. This is one of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants I've tried so far. Highly recommended!

The frozen yogurt and warm honey toast. It tasted much healthier than the one at afteryou Bangkok. Not a bad eat.

French Apple Cake with Vanilla ice cream, and a cup of Gryphon Earl Grey Lavender Tea

Pros:
- Vegetarian & organic, yet flavoursome
- Generous portions
- Good variety
- Kway Chap set = MUST TRY!

Cons:
NIL (so far)

Grade: A

Decor is a little more upscale than homey previously. They still served the oh-so-good-and-appetising crusty bruschetta with delicious olive oil laced salsa to everyone. This squid ink risotto is unbelievably tasty - packed with seafood flavour and generously served with soft juicy squid, crab meat and prawn chunks. It's 'drier' than most cream risottos but I LOVE it - my friend commented that she's never heard me make so many sounds with every single bite. It's not cheap but I think it's worth all of the $31 price tag. Would also recommend the antipasti such as the beef carpaccio and parma ham with mozzarella (fav among my friends). Come in a group so you get to taste more dishes! #Burpple

Succulent clams aglio olio served with linguine. Also available in cuttle-ink sauce.

Best for those who don't want a heavy meal or just prefer something light in general. Came in thick amounts of yogurt and honey drizzled to create a sweet yet tart flavour.
