Having tried Unatoto in Tokyo🇯🇵 3-4 years ago, I feel that the food here exceeded my expectations and was undeniably yummy, especially when considering its price point. Special mention goes to their assorted tempura (got Unagi), which was surprisingly more impressive than a tendon specialty restaurant – T**J**. For drinks pairing, their Yuzu/Mango/Strawberry Green Tea will be a great choice!

Overall, the dishes we tried were mouth-watering and tasty. I guess you got to experience this for yourselves! Special mention goes out to their 好吃的一条鱼 & 富贵金丝虾, which are my personal favourites. Their 宽窄毛笔酥 is definitely a must-try too, since it provides the aesthetics, experience of writing using chocolate sauce and a satisfying mouthfeel.

Catering to different budgets, you can choose either pomfret, grouper, snapper or song fish. The 1.5kg red grouper we had was really fresh, firm and flaky. The slurp-worthy soup was rich yet clean tasting, and also slightly smokey thanks to the burning charcoal.

All in all, we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will recommend you guys to have your CNY gathering here at @nanhwachong1927!

Overall, this didn’t disappoint at all, except maybe for their baked beans which was below average quality. Paired well with the black pepper sauce, the grilled chicken chop had a nice charred taste and was succulent. Regrets for not trying this earlier… This is soo yummy in my tummy! The noodles texture is perfectly springy and managed to hold the thick tasty broth well when dipped into. Probably the only downside is that there isn’t much meat in the tsukemen broth.

Be prepared to queue during peak hours and weekends!

If you didn’t know, Shinsho Ramen serves a range of Pai-tan ramen that features a delicate chicken broth with rich flavours. The creamy consistency and deep savoury flavours of the Pai-tan soup is a result of boiling and simmering a large amount of whole chicken, pork bones and several kinds of seasonal vegetables for more than 8 hours! Having tried their Black Garlic, Spicy Red Miso and Special Black Truffle, we concluded that our top favourite is the latter. I must say the texture of the round noodles were great too!

Oden lovers should definitely give their Pai-tan oden a try! With up to 13 amazing ingredient options to soak up all the goodness of their delicious chicken broth, it will bound to warm you up during cool, wintery days!

Last but not the least, Shinsho’s Katsu was surprisingly impressive. The seasonal Premium Iberico Pork Loin Katsu features the plump, juicy cut that’s deep-fried to a crispy, golden brown perfection, available at only SGD18.90. Their Ebi & Kaki Oyster will be perfect for any seafood lover!
