Hvala Waffle Bar (Hvala means "thank you" in Croatian) is a kiosk located at 313@Somerset's basement which offers takeaway waffle sticks in a variety of flavours such as Tiramisu, Bella Banana, Creme Brulee and Berries Delight. Go for the Apple Cinnamon Waffle Bar ($3.50) with caramelised crunchy apple slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder, or the Smurfy Smores ($3.80) with colourful torched mini marshmallows, chocolate fondue and graham crumbs. Hvala also offers vanilla soft serve if you need something cold to combat a sweltering afternoon!
I'm pretty sure it's easy to get tipsy on this sweet soju—I'd definitely have this again 😏. $7.90 at Sync Korean Tapas Bar, Serangoon Gardens. This area is becoming quite a hip place to hang out.

Springy noodles & decent boiled wontons. The char siew is good thou'. Flavorful, moist & tender with slightly charred corners. One of the better wonton mee around.
5 for $2, just so cute & colorful! 😍 Comes in flavors of peanut, durian, coconut, coffee & the traditional bean paste.

Piping hot (and spicy) soup served in a beautiful stone pot is always enticing for a hungry diner. Look at that colour intensity and richness of the broth... say no more and dig in!

First day of opening, and we couldn't wait to be the first customers! ;) Happy to have a neat little cafe so near home. Lovely decor, but very limited items on the menu for now, shall check back again soon.
Decked out in bright and colourful, it is not hard to get influenced by this cafe's cheerful vibe. The dessert-based menu might seem limited, but there are options from Macarons, Brownies and even Waffles and Gelato. They do offer specials from time to time such as their Baked Apple, but do go for their waffles if all else is unavailable; the bread-like batter is definitely an interesting treat for those who appreciates it.
