Was surprised by the pleasant green tea taste of the pancake part and it was chewy, dense but not dry. Red bean filling was a very slightly grainy paste. Tbh it’s a bit pricey for mjk but I guess it’s bc of rental (it’s in tjpg centre, which is air-conditioned).

Peanut filling was like crunchy peanut butter but with more prominent peanut bits (bits:butter ~7:3?). Texture of the mjk was chewy, dense but not dry.

For $1.60 you get a mee jiang kueh the size of your entire hand, yes I’m not kidding the serving size of 1 mee jiang kueh there was huge and absolutely worth the price tag of $1.60! They even have an all day breakfast set that comes with a slice of mee jiang kueh, 2 eggs and a coffee or tea. Definitely a steal!

ordered at 2.15pm the Hakka Bee Hoon Soup set $9.90. came with the YTF bee hoon soup, a drink & a pancake of your choice. the bee hoon soup came cold which wasn’t pleasant... doesn’t provide sauce with it... not sure why... and only fork and spoon provided... maybe Hakkas don’t use chopsticks?

selected peanut pancake but it looks undercooked... not sure how much are they selling it for.... not worth it... in my opinion.

Cold green tea was ok coz how bad can cold drink tea be...

Same same but different

It’s nice to switch to a Mian jian Guo , peanut pancake instead of the usual toast .

I like that the regular coffee / tea could be switched to green tea because I was a little under the weather.

This has become one of my choice places for a no frills breakfast .

I would have loved the pancake to be a little more fluffy and less dense ( although the not so sweet granular peanut filling made up for it ) . The eggs would be nice hot too ....

But for 3 dollars 💵- and for a quick fuss free meal - no complaints 😚

Usually going for beef rice bowls I decided to try their iberico pork jowl[$12] one and was really satisfied with the choice. Sou vide to perfection, the fatty pork was so juicy and really the star of the show. My only complaint is that their wasn't more of it but hey you could always add extra meat😛 The rest of the bowl was pretty standard and osen egg and a generous portion of rice topped with a light soy based sauce. A really great hearty meal if you're around the tanjong pagar area. Foodier🖖🏼
