If you are looking for some unique Bingsu flavours that you can find nowhere else! Come to Café Insadong. Some of their signatures are
Macchiato Baileys, Sweet potato and red bean, Milk Tea and also seasonal items like coconut Bingsu! Their use of ingredients were not stingy at all, which is (maybe) why they are priced above the other more well-known bingsu chains. The Macchiato Baileys costs $18.80.

S'mores is one of the smaller food trends around that hasn't quite caught on (fire, haha) like salted egg here, but a few places have incorporated the campfire treat into their dessert creations.
Cafe Insadong's offering is one of saccharine decadence - chocolate shaved ice, a child-fist-sized scoop of chocolate ice cream, melted marshmallow skirting and morsels that were still crisp yet molten when served (wonder how they did it without melting the ice), topped off with grounded nuts and a Maltesers peak.
I personally enjoyed this bingsu quite a lot as the shaved ice isn't as milky as that of Oma Spoon or Nunsongyee - will be back soon for some more... Summore... S'more...

The weather is sooo unbearably hot; I wish I could get some sweet toast right now. What I love about this toast is the Korean rice cake squeezed in between the toast. The contrast in temperature enhanced the flavour well and with slices of banana, caramelised popcorn and cold milky chocolate ice cream, the toast was easily conquered within minutes. This is basically all my favourites served together!

i've always wanted to try caramel macchiato bingsu ($17.80) topped with caramel mochi, popcorn, crispy croutons, and a scoop of caramel ice cream with nuts in it, and it definitely didn't disappoint. where would you ever find a bingsu like that! the crispiness of the croutons balanced out the chewiness of the mochi evenly. i loved the caramel mochi a lot. overall it was pretty sweet and the coffee flavour wasn't that strong, so sweet toothed people like me, or people who don't really fancy the taste of coffee should try this! a decadent dessert indeed 😍

Light and feathery, espresso flavoured ice flakes that were surprisingly moreish, esp when drenched with the extra shot of Baileys and sweetened milk coffee given on the side. I think i might actually like Bingsu..

Fragrant coffee flavoured bingsu topped with chewy mochi, crunchy almonds, crisp popcorn and caramel sauce @ $17.90. the ice shavings looked coarser but was nonetheless smooth in texture :) incredibly satisfying! I also liked their spicy chicken injeolmi toast (one-for-one with the Entertainer app)

✔️Soft milky Ice ✔️Sweet Mangoes; only pity that the ice cream was not as good. But the surroundings make up for it; food was good.

Awesome bingsu $18 & $17 for bailey cream expresso n caramel machiatos...coz spend more dan $23...owner allow us to take one porcelian made by owner...gd deal!!

Yam was finely mushed and love the "milkiness" in the bingsu (milk lover here). Nice cosy place, perfect for a good catch-up.

Was given the choice of either vanilla or taro ice cream. Glad S went with the latter because anything taro cannot go wrong with me hahaha. Liked that this wasn't overly sweet but this was a bit too heavy for an after meal dessert. The star of this dish is without a doubt the mochi. If I could buy them separately, I would.

The shaved ice is sooooooo gosh.. Whahazzz can I have another one??? It's like drinking the real thing and everything else just right ... The sourness of the mandarin orange and the chewyness of the Mochi. The gelato... I think is yuZu..

The mochi was warm and chewy, the green tea ice shaving and icecream match well with the red bean filling...Perfect...at $15.80. Worth a try

always subconsciously (or well planned? we'll never know) returning to our fav place

But #dessert saves the day and I'm so glad that I'm having #bingsu again after such a long time! The red bean & sweet potato has my vote, especially when it's topped with my favourite taro ice cream 😋 #burpple #foodstamping #foodporn #foodspotting

Next Matcha Bingsu find from Cafe Insadong. Green tea flavored shaved ice that was a little subtle in taste. It will be good if it's richer in matcha flavor and more accompanying ingredients. It gets kind of boring halfway through as you feel as though you're only left chewing on ice and nothing else. Sadly, it's not a you'll regret if you don't try.

Green tea taste was strong and doesn't taste 'fake', their rice cake is really soft and chewy and the red bean is not too sweet! Their ice is soft as well

Love the nutella!
the green tea ice cream makes it even better 😍

A little messily plated but still a good respite in this warm weather. The taro ice-cream atop the Sweet Potato & Red Bean bingsu was smooth and aromatic, matching perfectly with the earthy flavours of the ensemble. The Macchiato one was decent with chocolaty & coffee flavours but none too spectacular. Jazz up the otherwise-bland shaved ice with the accompanying condensed milk, mix well, and enjoy!

Whole meal in itself. Huge and basically an elevated ice kachang with a scoop of taro ice cream on top. Gotta say the mochi was pretty good though.
