Is it time for cake?.
.
A perfect marriage of luscious chocolate ganache, between layers of thin chocolate sponge cake, finished with a chocolate glaze.
.
Addictively delicious, with its smooth airy light moist spongy texture and bold chocolatey bitter sweet flavour, it's a challenge to stop eating this.
.
Love the decorated plate as well.

This features a rich dark chocolate lava cake, over a base of vanilla ice cream.
.
The creamy smooth ice cream holds up well despite the warmth of the cake, and has a delicate floral sweet vanilla flavour.
.
But the dark chocolate lava cake is the star, with its moist and soft texture, deep chocolatey bitter sweet flavour, and luscious chocolate sauce that oozes out when cut.

Ate my ice-cream halfway before I remember to take a shot.

I walked into A Spoonful of Sugar, wanting to have a chocolate ice-cream, but realised they do not have dark chocolate ice-cream, only milky chocolate ice-cream.

Decided to make my way to Chocolate Origins for their dark gelato.

It is a shop with no crowd/ queue, unlike A Spoonful of Sugar, which was packed with people, probably because there's no seating available (@chocolate origins).

The dark Belgian chocolate ice-cream was bittersweet with a strong cocoa finish, intense in flavour, luscious, but not overwhelming. Exactly what I like!

But there are some ice crystals in the ice-cream.

✨ A lava cake served in a reverse way, with vanilla ice cream as the base of a molten chocolate lava cake. The highlight here is no doubt, the chocolate lava cake (which is what the shop specializes in after all - chocolates🍫) that came with a thick and fudgy warm chocolate lava (swipe to the end to view its flowy texture) in the core of a chocolate lava cake that's sufficiently moist, soft with slightly crisp edges. The chocolate lava was luscious, chocolatey and packs a punch with its rich cocoa flavour that would appeal to the hardcore chocoholics. On the other hand, the vanilla ice-cream was milky, smooth and creamy which surprisingly still manage to retain a decent shape and rigidity despite contact with its warm albeit ideal companion .

Love the warm lava cake that oozed out gently. Was perfect when eaten together with the ice cream at the bottom. Perfect combination!
