Wanted to grab some desserts before dinner, therefore I went to DessertStory. From the menu, the special chee Cheong fan looks like a big portion and looks really good, which is why I ordered it. However, when it arrived, I was very disappointed, the portion was very small, which is totally not worth the price. It was rather special, the taste of it was not bad too, but I would not recommend other people to order this. Moving on, the chendol snow ice has a small surprise. From the shaved ice, I can taste the fragrance of the coconut milk, which made me very amazed. But, it was too sweet for my liking, they were too generous with the Gula Melaka syrup, making the whole dessert very gelat, which is why I could not finish it as it was too gelat. Overall, I wouldn't go back for these two dishes as it was quite expensive and were not quite to my liking.

Felt like eating something cold therefore I bought this mango snow ice at DessertStory. The mango shaved ice was really good, it has the right amount of mango flavour to it. However, the mango purée on top was too sweet for my liking, if there wasn't the purée on top, it would be a lot better. The mango at the sides were also a little too sweet for my liking as I prefer mangoes that does not have an overpowering sweetness to it. Also, the portion was a bit too little for that price. Overall, the mango snow ice is a pretty good dessert if you are a fan of sweet desserts.

Our favourite dessert from Taiwan is here in Singapore, and it's surprisingly good.
You have a choice of yam or coconut ice cream with shaved peanuts wrapped in popiah skin. It's indeed reminiscent of a popiah especially with the aromatic coriander lift, but this popiah came in the form of a cold sweet dessert. I especially like the thin chewy popiah skin and how fragrant the peanuts are - they're hand shaven from a huge peanut candy block directly imported from Taiwan.
This is taken during a tasting.

End off with dessert just a few stalls away! Shaved mango ice 😊

With 2 flavors available (Coconut & Yam), single flavor will be retailing @ $3.5 & mixed @ $3.9!
Besides that, oso launching tomorrow is the Duo Ice ($5.9); a Taiwanese Snow Ice Dessert that's available in 2 combos: Strawberry + Yogurt & (in frame) Mango + Coconut. Love the latter much for its local twist. Oh jus so you know, both Peanut Ice Cream Roll & Duo Ice will be available till end May 2017 nia uh!
