At first I was planning to order cheong chong fan with salted egg sauce which would cost S$2.80 single row with order of a dessert on the menu, but the staff refused my order saying that the menu was incorrect and the item was unavailable. Interestingly one could order the same dish but double row of cheong chong fan at S$5.50.
Perhaps the menu should be updated to prevent confusion.
Anyway the you tiao was light and crispy, having given a toast in the toaster. The sauce was rich and more on the salty side. It was topped with floss and tempura crumbles.

The way they serve the Durian Pengat here was pretty much as unexpected as our visit to this shop. Looking horribly different from its illustrations, the amount of durian paste was measly, though on the other hand so artificially sweet it leaves an aftertaste in the mouth that you probably would be contented with the portion per serving. And there is really not much a reason for the Gula Melaka and shaved ice to appear here anyway? Quite what a Durian Pengat should not have been.
ok that said, need to go back to taiwan soon. π
