This is a satisfying bowl of thick gloopy rice congee that is best shared for its comforting sweet grainy savoury flavour.
.
Garnished with a generous amount of ingredients, including soft braised peanuts with nutty salty flavour, slippery cuttlefish with natural sweet flavour, and tender Spanish mackerel fish slices with sweet savoury flavour.
.
There's also bouncy dried scallops with meaty savoury flavour, crisp spring onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and crunchy fried dough fritters with grainy sweet bready flavour.

Fight me for this but I’d rather eat here than at Swee Choon. Highly recommend the crispy prawn rice rolls, it’s the best thing here.
This was lovely, with medium cubes of soft tender bouncy daikon radish cake, tossed with dried shrimp paste, crunchy bean sprouts, and wispy egg, then garnished with red chili and spring onions.
.
The result is an addictive savoury eggy sweet salty vegetal flavour. Yum, kept reaching for more.

Revisited this place because the Burpple Beyond deal was expiring and oh boy I’ve missed it. Can’t rmb the menu name for this but it’s basically a white siew mai. Doesn’t taste any diff from a regular siew mai but I really like the roe on top. Crunchy stuff.
Definitely enjoyed every bite and mouth of the dim sum we ordered, especially the warm baked salted egg bun. Crispy on the outside, paired with the thick salted egg sauce. Perfect combination and a different take from the usual steamed salted egg bun.
1. Ordered chicken siew mai but not nice. Pork siew mai still nicer
2. 红油抄手 is said to be the Japanese version becos they added carrots, mushrooms, chilli.
Alright I guess, can’t go wrong
3. The crispy shrimp popiah-like thing inside the vermicelli roll is not bad
4. Har gau and XO carrot cake are normal
5. Watercress jelly is not bad
They incorporated a lot of Japanese and unusual elements into their dishes (like wasabi and XO), still prefer the normal authentic Chinese dimsum
