Just the look of this decadent wagyu beef donburi and you can tell that Fat Cow is definitely a luxurious treat.👑 It is an ensemble of premium miyazaki A4 wagyu beef, foie gras, uni, caviar, fish roe, onsen egg and truffle flavoured rice. All that goodness in one bowl!🐮 But did it live up to its expectation, especially at its price point?🤔 While the beef was to-die-for, we felt that the balance of the whole donburi was kinda off. There were just too many heavy-tasting elements in the dish, such that we felt jelat after a while...and craved for something lighter on the palette instead.🥴 Overall, Fat cow is great for enjoying good quality beef but should we ever return, we would probably give the donburi a miss or share it with others!😬

BUT if you have @entertainersg it would be half price, isn’t it fucking worth it? OMG! The charred on the foie gras was absolute bomb! The ooze from the onsen egg, the super thinly sliced Wagyu so tender, the uni, caviar = perfect combination! 🤯

I was so famished and cold I finished the entire bowl with no grain left behind. 🤭😍🥩

On par in magnificence with the “21-Days Dry-aged Nagasaki Premium Donburi” ($138) but of a different kind as this beef flavour is more straightforward, is the “A4 Miyazaki Premium Donburi” ($128). As you can imagine, this flawlessly grilled fat-laced beef has the ability to melt in the mouth, triggering X-rated sounds of pleasure.
The rice bowl also contains cubes of Pan-fried Foie Gras (so smoky, creamy and tender!), as well as briny pops of Ikura (salmon roe) and Caviar. All of the above are arranged, together with an Onsen Egg, on a generous portion of deliciously-seasoned Japanese rice.
Served alongside are a bowl of Miso Soup and a Chawanmushi that practically explodes with prawn, chicken and mushroom.

With medium Kagoshima wagyu A4 tenderloin, uni, caviar, ikura, foie gras, truffle oil and onsen egg. We upgraded the beef because why come to a Japanese restaurant to eat Australian wagyu? It was however chalky, which didn't make for a great experience, and barely beefy. I'd still get this bowl for the variety, of which the foie gras and uni were orgasmic.

Entertainer 1 for 1

Had to come here to make use of our entertainer deal and it was definitely worth it. So yummy and literally melts in your mouth!
Generous portion of foie gras which I felt was slightly overdone as it tasted like tau gwa but still nice overall. Choose this if you don’t like your beef to be overly fatty/ oily tasting.

The most worth it Entertainer 1-for-1 place. The premium donburi with foie gras was mindblowing good. The rice is cooked with beef fat and probably the one and only time where I like the rice better than the beef!

Very satisfying and flavourful glazed foie gras and wagyu. As a lunch set, this is pretty decent as it comes with salad, chawanmushi, miso soup and dessert.

Each bowl is a delectable mix of the melt-in-mouth tender beef thanks to the good marbling, small chunks of creamy seared foie gras, a scoop of uni and little mound of ikura (salmon roe) with a dash of truffle oil. It's a flavour burst of aroma, yet the most outstanding was the distinct charred aroma from the beef thanks to it's time on the live charcoal grill. So much so, the distinct taste still came up hours later after a burp 🙊
