Came mostly for their Cacio E Pepe but honestly we were quite disappointed. I did enjoy the addictive cheesy base that was spiced up with peppercorns, but maybe it wasn’t their day - our pasta couldn’t carry those flavours well and it had that slightly hard and doughy centre we weren’t a fan of.
Its charm though, I felt, lies beyond the lure of happy hour deals and in its menu of Italian-inspired dishes.
Personal top picks include the tender Chicken Piccata with an appealing tanginess from lemon and capers, and the Mafaldine ‘Cacio e Pepe’, a dish of ribbon-shaped pasta simply mixed with pecorino and four types of peppercorns.

A classic done well using ribbons of mafaldine pasta! Love the ruffled edges that trap more of the four pepper (black, pink, white and green)-kissed, pecorino-enriched sauce in every strand. Yum yum!
