Spanner Crab Spaghetti

Light and summery flavours abound with succulent chunks of crab tangled in strands of al-dente spaghetti, infused with the zesty zing of lemon. The parsley adds freshness, whilst the parmigiano and pine nuts provide a nutty undertone that lends depth of flavour.

Flavours were a little overwhelmed by the lemon, even though there were pine nuts and parmigiano reggiano. Would have liked to see the crab and cheese flavour come out more, but thumbs up to the fresh and sweet crab meat!


For pastas, I tend to be on the camp which prefers strong, hearty flavours. When Nan told us that this is her favourite pasta here because it is so light, delicate and refreshing, I was a tad sceptical. One twirl and a bite later, I was a convert. This spanner crab spaghetti with pine nuts, lemon and parmigiano reggiano is truly a star! Something I will definitely order again and will happily not share it the next time.


IIf there ever was a pasta that has the lilt of the spring season, this would be it.
I was emamoured by the fresh brightness of its light, luscious lemon sauce, and how it was anchored by just the right amount of parmigiano-reggiano cheese. Introducing more delicious dimensions to this dish were subtly sweet spanner crab and crunchy pine nuts.
