Cheese Cake ($13)
A pricey slice of Burnt Basque Cheese Cake but really competent as the velvet texture was a win. The flavour of the cheese was also balanced - savoury and moreish. Love love the burnt top. Rich yet not all that cloying, the cheesy body of the cake also paired well with the thin biscuit crust. Highly recommend.

With quite the elevated Western cuisine offerings, Elfuego opened by home-grown brand COLLIN’S is now serving its wonderfully crafted spread at VivoCity! The launch of their second outlet follows their first Halal restaurant concept at Jewel Changi. Hence, apart from the now more central location and some branch-exclusive items, you can still expect great service and surprisingly good food - perfect for dates and dining out with large groups of friends as well as families.

Charcoal-grilled Japanese Squid ($25)
For sharing, the generous portion of tender squid was paired with slurpy Chilled Angel Hair Pasta dressed in a tangy Truffle Vinaigrette. A tad too zippy, the dressing was pretty acidic in my opinion but worked nicely with the molluscs.

𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 ($26) - Tender duck meat with creamy mash potatoes. If nitpicking, would have liked more beef jus for added moisture.

𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 ($18/3) - Juicy and fresh oysters topped with passionfruit and trout roe. Personal preference for natural oysters but this was a refreshing rendition with the tanginess balancing out the brininess.

👍🏼 𝐏𝐚𝐧-𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢 ($28) - Perfectly seared with a crisp skin and succulent meat, in a moreish creamy and savory cheese-based sauce with depth and sweetness from leek and shallots.

👍🏼 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐒 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐬 ($35) - Unassuming looks but favourite dish of the night. The meat was well-marinated. fork tender, and nicely caramelised on the edges.
