Located just outside the South Kensington subway station, Muriel’s Kitchen is named after the owners’ grandmother, and the concept of this bistro is inspired by her kitchen that never has a dull moment or a bad plate of food that’s being served.

Using only ingredients that’s locally sourced, all the food is freshly prepared and cooked upon order in order to let the produce shine through. A dish such as Banana and Ricotta Pancakes (£9.60), served with maple syrup, might seem simple and pretty generic, but at the hands of the chefs in Muriel’s Kitchen, it turned out pretty damn well.
