Very strange experience. I am told by the waitress if I want takeaway then I have to order at the counter. So I look at the menu and go to the counter and the waitress says she can’t take my order but needs someone else to do it. She knocks on two doors, a few minutes go by and then some lady joins us from hiding. She doesn’t apologise at all, seems angry and upset. So I tell them to have a nice evening and walk out. With prices like those they should afford to have staff who can take orders you would think. Stay away from this place if customer service is important to you.
1st time at this spot and it's already an unpleasant dining experience... Doubt I'll return ever.
Got allocated a seat upstairs despite making a reservation and to my horror there was a malay family, about 20 pax, gathering around the stairway and waiting to be seated by the staff. Staff did not even bother to space us out and allocated us a table in close proximity to them, which I discovered afterwards could be that they probably didn't want to switch on another aircon. Diners were intermingling between tables and staffs did not say anything.
For this sort of service standard, why am i paying service charge? What sort of service is there if I need to climb up and down to place my order and having to endure such a chaotic dining environment?
The dish is very well seasoned but I felt that the fish can be abit less dry. They have other dishes like the meatballs that are a lot better.
Priced at $26, I am rather satisfied though.
If you're a big-eater, u would get your money worth at Fika as they are extremely generous with their portion! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

3 hugeeee slabs of nicely grilled boneless chicken leg topped with a ladle of creamy whole grain mustard sauce, accompanied with sautéed vegetables (which were a little too tough), alfafa sprouts & crunchy baby potatoes, this definitely makes a hearty meal! ✔

Marinated & handmade in-house every morning, these meatballs were tender & of the right texture - not too coarse nor too fine, not too dense nor too loose. 👍🏻

Somehow, I still prefer my meatballs savoury, but I do enjoy an occasional dip in the sweet jam to spice things up a little, else wolfing down 8 meatballs in heavy cream sauce can get a little monotonous. 🤣 This is better shared in my opinion! ✔

Wasn't a beef eater, and switched their meatballs to a grill chicken aglio olio! Loved the perfect concoction between the chilli, olive oil, garlic and spicies!
Unfortunately the caramel pecan chocolate cake is not available anymore so we ordered this.
Nothing too fancy but definitely hits the spot. Portion is rather substantial(just look at the massive ball of ice cream) so do order to share
It's the same whole grain mustard sauce so I would advice getting either this or the chicken but not both. Grilled perfectly to medium, the steak was fine but it was the potatoes that were the unexpected stunner since it went well with the sauce
Red beet salad added a nice red hue without imparting too much unwanted flavour. I'm not a fan of meatballs but between the cheese and the bread, this was very acceptable.
Definitely a safer option, it was still enjoyable with the creamy whole grain mustard sauce being something unique but approachable
Differs slightly from the online menu but might be a seasonal thing? Many of the components, particularly the fish based ones are really an acquired taste. Pickled herring itself was rather soft in an interesting way, and slightly sour. The salmon roe paste was super umami but very fishy as well, good in small portions with the salad. Hard to imagine but the cheese was one of the easiest items to swallow on the platter, being very soft, creamy and slightly crumbly
I've been to Fika Cafe twice and loved it both times! It's becoming one of my fav places in Singapore ☺️ Having been to Sweden for a six-month student exchange, I really miss anything that has to do with Sweden and the food here really doesn't disappoint.
Tried the korvstroganoff, macaroni stew and grilled chicken and they were all good. My friend liked the pasta bake as well. I also really love the desserts! The kladdkaka and apple crumble pie were great, but the earl grey lavender cake was the true highlight 😻 Sweet floral flavour + Citrusy tang from the berries = MAGIC. ✨ Sadly that's a seasonal item so it might not be available anymore. :(
Food here is definitely pricey, but I think it's pretty worth it if it's just once in a while. :) Service is good and I love the quaint decor too! Super cozy and comfy.
$17 nett. Too much oil and chilli flakes for my liking. Meat balls were too dry. Wished it came with gravy and lingonberry sauce. Overall a decent pasta, could taste the fragrance of the garlic.
Generous portion but food was average. My salmon were terribly overdone and it made finishing the two fillets a very dreadful affair. The appetisers were decent but the meal wasn't worth it at all.
