It’s one of the best noodles you can find around Toa Payoh. The portion is generous and the customer service is excellent. You can start by taking the dry noodles with minced meat.

At 9.00pm, while most eateries wound up for the day, this stall at the J99 Eating House continued to draw swathes of regulars. The soup was a true source of comfort: light, sapid, and sweetened by the plenitude of cabbage slices. The addition of E-Mian and ikan bilis made it all the more flavourful, with subtle notes of starch and oil permeating the distinct fish and pork base. The only weakness lies in the fish: while they were gills-free and generally free of piscine odour, some slices were over-cooked and tougher than others. Even so, I’d say this is worth a try, and worth the bucks especially when you feel under the weather.

a good bowl of you mian with lots of vegetables and the thickness of the you mian is rather thin than the usual you mian you see, which I find it nice and interesting. the vegetables also gave the soup a sweet taste.

Generous topping with a even bigger portion of noodle. They made their noodle on a daily basic. (This proved their business was that good)

Their construction of the Ban Mian.
Bottom: Sweet Dark Soy Sauce with Noodle Soup.
Noodle: Hand Made Noodle.
Topping: Lots of Minced Pork, Greens and Half Boiled Egg.
Remember to mix the noodle fully with the sauce at the bottom. Hence, the fullness of the savory dark sauce with the springy thick noodle could be tasted. Some bites, I could tasted the sweet minced meat. Some bites, I could tasted the greens with the half cooked egg. Really worth eating.

The hot flavorful soup is just perfect for warming yourself up in rainy days. Love everything in the bowl, from chewy noodles, cruchy vegs, minced pork for added flavor, 2 really big prawns (I gave up deshelling, I mean how can you do it with chopstick? 😥), to the crispy salted anchovies. Hmm 😋

Thanks @nickblitzz 😂 Apparently I've been searching in the wrong alley all along. Nice place for ban mian fix 😊
