Empress porridge cafe
Curiosity always takes you somewhere
The Orh nee from empress porridge cafe is officially the best I have eaten in Singapore .
You have got to try this creamy authentic goodness of yam .
It’s not too sweet and boasts of a strong yam flavour.
Making its debut at Kent ridge ( mrt ) and now at Fusionopolis is this hidden secret that does a whole load of home cooked delights.
Ranging from pigs trotters bee hoon , vegetarian bee hoon , Claypot rice , glutinous rice , black / white carrot cake and their infamous brown rice empress porridge ( adorned with scallops , cuttlefish , peanuts and pork ) , this cafe does everything so well and you can just observe the care they put in serving each dish right .
I stepped into this cafe situated right above one north mrt for the first time and was so distracted with the good variety of food they offer .
The best part is that with every main meal ordered, you can elect to add on 4 dollars for a hot rose tea, a dessert ( Orh nee ) and a side dish ( glutinous rice , black / white carrot cake / a hot daily soup ).
