Amazing splash of peanut butter. Very very generous
mom has been raving abt this waffle & she finally brought back some for us to try!! its sooo good 😭 when it was warm it was crispy but okay, but when it cooled down it turn super chewy & squishy & i actually prefer it this way! the kaya used is also really good, eggy & coconutty & RICH (which in malay is called kaya hehe learnt this in class) so u know its doing its job right. this is one of the best local waffles ive tried, maybe the best even. ❤️
If there’s anywhere you should get your waffles ,it has to be here.
Unlike most places that use food colouring and or artificial pandan flavouring, Gambateh insists on using on fresh pandan extract from the real stuff - yo !
The red bean filling is a must try - so creamy , aromatic and not sweet at all .
The waffles are both crisp outside and soft and fluffy within - absolutely Delish !
A crisp, warm and satisfying waffle with a wonderful pandan aroma. There’s a good balance of crisp outside, soft inside! I like this with either kaya or chocolate (the choc is not the low quality chocolate coin kind which tastes plasticky).
The waffle was too ’hot’ for me to push it up for a great pic. This was freshly baked on the spot and makes for a great mid day snack. I had mine with chocolate and it was spread generously on the waffle.
Not over cooked, soft with crispy ends, makes a good waffle! This hole in the wall shop is cute and certainly part of the old school vibes given off by the whole estate.
This discreet bubble tea shop was originally sited within abc market. I am a loyal fan of this stall because it’s Taiwanese owner has such exceptional service and actually remembers our unique orders.
Her teas are brewed with high quality tea leaves and are so fragrant - distinctively different from most bubble tea shops outside.
She has since also introduced her natural Pandan waffles which are made with real Pandan juice ( no food colouring). They are so incredibly fluffy within and crisp on the outside. Try it with 2 scoops of ice cream ( for 2 dollars only !) or opt for her home made red bean filling ( 1.50) which is so aromatic and creamy - I just can’t get enough of it .
This stall is situated at the hdb block just 2 mins away from abc Hawker, just along the same row where you would find ntuc Fairprice.
They close at 7 pm so if you like some incredibly good waffles and bubble tea , do visit early .
