📍Go! K-BBQ (Telok Ayer St)
- Aged Black Pork Belly (3 servings, each serving is 150g)🍖
- Spicy Rice Cake Stew🥘 (not in pic)
- Complimentary Steamed Egg & Side Dishes🍳

Quality black pork belly indeed! For someone who doesn’t like pork, this was totally acceptable~ not to worry about the unpleasant smell, there ain’t any!

Initially thought the fatty portion would be mushy and disgusting, but I was wrong, the fats are greasy in a good way, and chewy just like part of the meat itself~

Like that they test the heat temp and bbq for you, just to be sure that you taste the pork belly at its best condition…

The pork belly comes with some (really just some) rice cakes, mushrooms and spring onion for bbq, but these were good enough since there were other side dishes which definitely fill you up!

As for the spicy rice cake stew, tbh, so-so, can skip this…

Note: Do make reservation to avoid joining the crowd in the long queue…

Damage: $101.20

U get a small slice each, I snapped a photo cos it was so good(I hardly expected that)

Tbh I am utterly blown away by the stews instead of the meats. The meats certainly hold their weight esp at this price, but it's nothing that you will be impressed by.

Also set lunch is really worth it, the kalbi alone costs 34++ for 150g during dinner

They say they age all the meats but it's only for 15 days or sth so nah, it's not something you will actually taste

A very competent version, light in taste and texture but not those kind that's soft because it's mainly water. There's a very mild savoury taste and not too much sweetness

So u can see it's just kalbi(the "gal bit" part) basically beef ribs which everyone knows is the best part for BBQ

I think it's pretty decent, I'm hard to please when it comes to meat but the texture is not bad. Certainly not too much of that unpleasant chewiness and there's some flavour too.

I tot both cuts would be more crispy tbh. This one didn't have much crisp at all. When the meat comes please drop everything and devour the meat first, it gets cold quite quickly because it's raised and not heated(in air con room)

150g of black pork belly

The crisp was okay and the flavour was pretty good. There's this unique flavour to black pork which is different from most pork, hard to describe but kind of clean I guess. It becomes more pronounced when it's cold

Tbh I like the set more than normal kbbq cos this is a very manageable portion of meat, you get to try the stews as well, and you're not stuffed to the brim only from meat.

The banchan was pretty decent, I particularly liked the super soft potatoes? which were drenched in a deep umami viscous sauce that's pretty sweet.

Rice was nice too, the exterior can be a bit hard but not unpleasant.
